VIP Very Italian Pizza

Literally the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Everything is so fresh, it tastes amazing. The crust is actually one of the best parts. I definitely recommend coming here!

i agree with everyone here who had a positive review! this is the place for well made lasagna and fluffy and crusty pizza! what an orgamsic experience !! unfortunately it is very greasy and a crime to my diet. limited seating though, exceptional collection of marinated veggies for starter. i had a glimpse at the kitchen on my way to the toilet, and it is one of the rare views i had! everyone in the kitchen was over 35 years old male cooks, for me that was a great sign! no wonder the food was an absolute authentic experience !

Fab pizza place ticket away near the pier. Obviously popular as we’re got there early and it was busy even then. Loved all the groceries displayed on the shelves and above the counter — gives it a very authentic Italian feel. My kids wanted starter and then pizzas but looking around I thought they’d struggle to even finish a pizza! Nice thin base, great toppings and I was delighted to find Aperol Spritz on the menu! Oh and I was right about the pizzas — we needed a doggy bag to take home what we couldn’t finish! Will be back!

Mediocre. Not bad, not great either…
We live in the US and Switzerland, spend a lot of time in NYC and this restaurant is definitely not great. Not bad but not great at all. Mediocre taste. We were disappointed after the good reviews…

I like this place but it’s hit and miss, sometimes very good, sometimes average but one thing you can always rely on is the miserable staff.
I really hate it when they spray and clean the tables around you when you’re eating, common sense is to spray the cloth with your chemical cleaner.

I was told this has the best pizza ever, in the history of all pizzas. The recommender was a big pizza lover, so I took him on his word.
A wide range of pizzas available, as well as salads, calzones and pasta dishes.
My friend was right about one thing, the dough was really good, but the toppings were quite rustic and had a very much hand made look, scattered as opposed to arranged.
That’s OK though, the mozzarella was really good quality and the cured meats platter was excellent.
However, both my and my friend’s pizza had a topping missing from each of our pizzas, cherry tomatos and olives.
Otherwise, pretty good pizzas.

I was just here for a light meal and a beer.
Location is good but its a bit tight if the restaurant is full. So, if you prefer to sit in private, this might not be the dining option for you.
We had some pizza and bruschetta. It all tasted good. The pizza was a lot of dough though, I would have preferred a bit more topping. But the crust and all tasted really good despite lack of topping.
They have Peroni on tap if you prefer a real Italian beer as well.
Looked like busy place so if you are going for dinner I would recommend to book a head a couple of days prior to your visit.
It felt as if a part of a big chain so therefore I give it 3 outta 5. Nothing wrong, just felt a bit non-​personal vibe.

Fantastic authentic Italian pizzeria. Sourdough pizza base, San Marzano tomato sauce, wood fired oven. Amazing service. A must for the traditional pizza.

My last review was considered a «tip» due to limited sentence length.
This made my critique feel inadequate.
So now, I am review bloating with the two sentences above.
VIP is the best pizza in Brighton and Hove. The Burger Bros of Pizza.

Sorry about that, I just wanted to ensure I get across just how good VIP Pizza is!
I have been wanting to go here for a while, having seen brilliant reviews on Unilocal and have also heard a lot just by word of mouth!
There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Brighton, and to be honest with you, they are all just a bit ‘meh’… Nothing outstanding, nothing really that great.
Until now.
I don’t really feel that I can properly articulate how fantastic the food was. Real, authentic Italian grub. VIP have their own farm in Italy, and all their food and ingredients are sourced from there. They make their own dough, bread and buffalo mozzerella, as well as providing a wide selection of cured meats.
I’ve never been to a Pizzeria where the dough is just as good as the topping! I could honestly eat that stuff ALL day.
I will 100% be going there again. It’s a ‘must try’ from me!

First Time in Brighton, first time to VIP Pizza and was a real great experience. When come inside the restaurant you can brith straight an Italian traditional atmosphere. Staff is professional but easy at the same time. You can enjoy the food and a pint of Italian beer in a great environment. Francesco was so kind and happy to explain us everything about food and the quality of it. I bought them hand made oven bread and hundred grams of Parmesan to take away. Very nice. Ah! Really important, Pizza is cooked in a wood oven so tasty is particular. Once again for sure in the next few months.

So last night was my third visit to VIP in two weeks. I simply cannot get enough of the pizza here, chewy delicious bread with absolutely delicious homemade toppings… SO GOOD!
I really cannot recommend this place highly enough, if an Italian restaurant is packed full of Italians, then you know you’re in the right place.

This is the best Italian food in Brighton. I almost don’t want to review it as I feel like I want to keep it all to myself. The ingredients is shipped in from Naples area. Good prices too. Also you can collect pizza to takeaway :). Casual relaxed atmosphere with polite staff. What more do you need?
