Food was okay, but don’t bother with the ‘rustic’ bread. It was NOT rustic! It was french bread sliced up and left to dry by the pizza oven…

Who would have thought that pizza could be so excellent in England? Al Duomo is a 3 story building right next to the museum entrance to The Pavilion. We stopped in for a very late lunch, sat downstairs and ordered pizza, salad, and eggplant parmisan. The seafood pizza was absolutely phenomenal and the arugula salad fresh and crunchy. There were fliers on the table indicating that Michael Buble was going to be performing in a few days. There is outdoor dining on the plaza but it was raining so we stayed indoors. Reasonably priced and highly recommended, especially in a tourist town like Brighton.

Mmmmm wonderful food! The Antipasti was delicious green peppers, succulent sun dried tomatoes, courgette, oven baked I think… I didn’t try the meat option but if you like Parma ham you’d like that! The main course was pizza or pasta, delicious gnocchi, vegan pizza which was tasty, goats cheese pizza, a very nice alternative to mozzarella, but I still tried the margarita which was tasty too. Good authentic pizza base. Again there were meat options that I didn’t try… The cocktails flowed. Very good value at £6.50 for TWO!!! I had Woo Woo, which tasted potent & just what I fancied. The service was excellent, all in all a successful evening. Gratzie Mille Al Duomo!
