On a wonderful sunny day Brighton at it’s finest. This fish and chip place restaurant is a slightly up market place to grab a Pimms and meal it’s great for the view as it is directly in the pier. Perfect for groups and families. The average price to sit in and eat is £9 But again it’s to enjoy the meal and place Great selection of seafood, fish, other meals

I was rather disappointed with this fish and chips restaurant, I had intended to go the day before my birthday but they were closed at 2:30pm(We asked around and people said places close at any point if they don’t get lots of customers!) So I tried again on my 21st. I should have gone to Wetherspoons instead! They seated everyone(Not in the same party!) along the same row of windows to the left of the building, yet the rest of the tables were deserted. So we could not have private conversations, or eat in peace. The waitress seemed new at her job, she was very reserved and didn’t seem to understand us very well when taking our order. She was also pacing up and down the row of customers like an army general. We weren’t able to settle and enjoy our meal! My fiancé liked the fish, but I only ate a few of my chips. They were a bit too undercooked and hard on the inside. None of the staff said happy birthday, even though I was geared up with the hat, sash and balloon. We were lucky to be seated next to a really pleasant Australian couple that bothered to give me their wishes!

I’m lucky I didn’t have the same experience as the other Unilocaler who wrote this review! I had the fish and chips. I don’t like mushy peas sorry =/… Liking marmite, black pudding and various English food, this was the only unappealing thing about my meal. Otherwise service was pretty decent(I think it was because it was a real British person that took our order and not an angry eastern European guy for once LOL). I actually enjoyed the fish n’ chips here in Brighton more than I did in London actually. The food wasn’t the best, but I guess my experience with the staff and everything else really helped. I enjoyed the view for being a bit too cloudy, but it’s England for you LOL… I would return here again with the same group of friends and hopefully the same server. =) LOL.

Palm Court is the British food restaurant on Brighton Pier. If you’re feeling peckish on your walk on the Pier, and the kiddies are begging to get fed, and you walk by this restaurant and think to yourself, «well here’s an option.» Think again. I grew up in Southern California, land of amusement parks. The restaurants at amusement parks are notoriously bad, and high priced, and this place fits the bill. No surprise given its proximity to the fun fair at the end of the pier. But a normal amusement park charges an entry fee. They have an excuse for poor food, given their clientele are locked in the gates. Here there is no such restriction. Access to the Pier is as you like. So the fact that they think they can get away with such poor food, poor service and outlandish prices is even more compelling a reason to urge you to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Service was slow and poor, requests for food forgotten. Really, the only thing earning a second star is it was a beautiful day, we sat outside, and the view is delightful, looking east across the southern English coast. But you can buy an ice cream cone for a quid at the stand next door, and get the same view. Do yourself a favor. Stop, turn north, walk off the Pier and go to the first any other restaurant once you’ve reached dry land. Just about anything is bound to please your palate more than this over-greasy establishment. It will probably cost less, and taste better, and your kids will need one less trip to the psychiatrists couch when they grow up and don’t resent you for making them eat rubberized fish sticks.
