A friend and I came here for a pint and some pub food. They got a good selection of beers and the«bangers and mash» were banging. Sit outside and gawk at the hen parties parading down the lanes. What a lovely place.

Been here for drinks quite a few times and the staff is always wonderful! Recently went for a late lunch and it was delicious! A friend and I both got the chicken pies and they were soooo good! The pies were perfectly crisp and filled us up. Only complaint is that it took quite some time for our food although the pub wasn’t too busy. Even still, I highly recommend it and will be back! Hoping to change that 4 stars into 5 stars :)

Me and my family decided to go on the ghost walk of the lanes. And as the ghost walk begins outside the druids head. We decided to go inside and have a couple of drinks before. We weren’t disappointed a good selection of ales and 10% off if you’re a member of camra which is good. A lovely old traditional sussex pub. Nice food although we only had chips nice though. A lovely atmosphere. Nice friendly pleasant staff. A very nice experience 10⁄10

A very nice pub polite staff and good ambience west here to do the Ghost walk of the lanes which leaves from here but it was so nice that when we returned we dropped in. For a couple of drinks w and cosy after a chilly walk fun evening had by all.

I spent part of the long weekend in Brighton with my housemates. And when we were looking for somewhere to go for dinner, it proved rather difficult when I’m allergic to gluten and dairy and my housemate is allergic to fructose and is vegetarian :-/ Finally we stumble across this cute little english pub. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. It has a great atmosphere, and is set up like a typical english pub. Wooden floors, tables and chairs. The menu is rather large, and caters for many different tastes. They also offer different specials dependent on the day. I settled with the Oregano and Lemon Chicken with zucchini, asparagus and potatoes. The menu said it came with tzatiki, however when it was delivered to the table it was minus this condiment. The chicken was a little dry, the potatoes were watery and tasteless. I added salt and pepper with HP sauce to make the dish more delicious. I’m not sure i would go back to this place again, but if i wasn’t limited with the choices i could eat on the menu i would definitely like the try the pork belly or roast of the day.

Sat outside this pub with a decent beer, so it was hard to get a good sense of the place. I was a little surprised to see the football on in what I had heard was a rock pub.

After a whole day seeing Brighton, we randomly walked into this place because of the«bangers n mash» sign out front. Initially it was crowded so we left, but our sixth sense told us to go back in ten minutes and we found seating. I like the vibe in there, it can be crowded in the earlier hours(seemed to fizzle out around 9−10pm) but everyone is pretty chilled out. The bangers n mash was really good. If I’m ever in Brighton again, I’d definitely go back for a couple pints and bangers n mash. The barman that took my orders was a bit of a wanker, but I don’t blame him for having a crap job.

The Druids Head has one of the best locations right in the centre of the Lanes, which means is always bustling with freindly faces and gets a lot of tourist trade. It still has a lot of original features and has obviously been a pub for 100s of years but has revamped with a swanky décor, attracting an older crowd of 30+s. Its has nice pub grub menu and the best people watching tables out the front. It can be a bit pricey but you’re paying for the location.

Positioned conveniently near the restaurant-heavy South Lanes the Druids Head is a great place for an after meal pint. It’s not a special place, it’s not an outstanding place but it’s got charm and quality. I’ve never eaten there so I won’t discuss the food but in terms of drinks it’s the kind of place you’re likely to find a cask Ale or two. With a large wine list it’s also good for a relaxing bottle of wine with a friend especially because it’s rather small. As such it suits smaller groups looking for a quick but social drink. The atmosphere is always warm if not buzzing and the location means you have no excuse for not at least checking it out.

The Druids head is in a fab location in the centre of the Laines but doesn’t suffer from having to seat people outside in an alley. Its has a old tavern feel inside but with swish modern décor. Its general clientele people over 30 as it get busy but always a very chilled vibe. Its quite a squeeze inside with a massive old stair case taking loads of room in the middle. It has a mini courtyard out the back for smokers and a couple of tables out the front with are great to watch the Laines crowds go by. Good wine list a food, maybe somewhere to take the ‘rents?

The Druid’s Head is a nice old pub in Brighton Place in the heart of the South Lanes. I have been there a couple of times when with friends from out of town. It wouldn’t be my first choice, or contender for regular visits, but it’s not a bad little place. If you’re in this area, maybe you’ve just had a meal at one of the many Italian restaurants, then this is a good choice for a drink or two. It’s not going to be the most banging venue for a night out, but it’s nice enough — quiet, but at the same time, bustling. A solid three-star pub. Don’t seek it, but if you find it, park your bum and get yourself a pint!

Brighton’s(or one of) oldest pub. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town. Great real ale and food. Good atmosphere, very cosy with good music at just right volume. Good for chilling out on comfy sofas at front after shopping in the Lanes. Can get crowded late afternoon and evening. My favourite!

This pub is scary ! Full of real ale lovers and mad rockers ! The music they play is very heavy and quite an acquired taste ! I’ve stumbled in the pub by accident a couple of times now and always look very out of place ! Despite this staff — and indeed patrons — have always been more than welcoming. Good on them ! Great beer selection.
