Dead Wax Social

My first time here was last night. They sell a wide variety of ale on tap! I’ve got more into ale these past years… It’s just so good! Two pints and I was ready for some karaōke… To be fair I’m always ready!
The bar girl was really friendly. It’s what you need! Good customer service. She was very chatty and informal about the beer, we even had a in depth conversation about veganism! Not for me… I love cheese too much. Although Sophie always says… If you want to be a vegan… Brighton’s the place to do it. LOL. She says that often. So anyway they also serve pizza. It looked GOOD! They have a pizza oven within part of the back of the bar. So your be sure that the chef ain’t going to be sweating or even spitting on it if he is in a bad mood.
It’s got a cool vibe to the place. Best way to describe it… Sounds weird but junk yard??? It makes it sound rubbish. But it’s kind of cool.
they apparently move the tables at night and have a small club night. I’ll come and see what that’s like one night!

I didn’t get any food but it smelled good and looked good!
Very cool décor and will be returning to get involved with the vinyl nights too!
Staff are great and super sweet.

I visited Dead Wax last night with an organised Unilocal event and had a great time!
In terms of the drinks, I wasn’t too impressed with the wine I had — I believe it was a Sauvignon Blanc. My partner had the house red though, and said it was nice.
When walking in, I wasn’t immediately impressed with the décor, as it looked like an unfinished school hallway destroyed by the Sex Pistols, however don’t just take it on first impressions! Walk through to the back to find a vast, yet fantastic space! It feels like an awesome members club actually, and the kitchen is open. The food was very tasty of what I sampled (the garlic bread).
Overall had a lovely evening and I’ll definitely be back.
