For my money the best chain around and the great views across the marina make this particular restaurant a firm favourite. Head Chef Duncan(check the bottom of your menu) is consistently excellent and probably deserves six stars if only I was able. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, pulling out chairs for your convenience and responding to what must be recurring questions without a shred of exasperation. Try everything.

Love the place because this was the only French restaurant on the marina; however, as French as the name implies, the staff are not. They are nice and helpful with the menu and our server is a nice Italian lady. Had a filet de saumon, which is a salmon fillet and my friend had loup de mer, which is a seabass dish. The dessert was good, trio de desserts. Overall, the place is good for quick fix and with the view of the marina, it can’t be beat.

We go every Monday around 6:30pm — please don’t rob our house! The staff know us there and we get our usual seats and don’t even have to order. They remember what we order and bring it over with a smile. We have Cineworld cards so also get a discount. Then usually have a look at the boats after the meal. Come join us!

Food is OK but a little pricey if you have the full 3 course with wine. Look out for discount coupons and then its well worth a trip. Only thing I dont like with this restaurant was the noise. The sound of people talking seem to amplify around the room. You end up having to raise your voice to talk which really spoilt it for me. Would go again but only when its not busy.

Despite being a chain restaurant, Café Rouge restaurants tend to have a really nice atmosphere to them. The décor is traditional and I always think the inside of them look like a sepia photograph. The downside to Café Rouge is that it is expensive for what it is. I got a taste of my mother’s moules et frites and they were very tasty. My steak was rather flavourless and if you wanted any sauce it would be an additional £2; seems a bit much to me. The staff were friendly, if a bit slow considering when I went it was not very busy at all. There’s not a lot really to complain about other than it being(in my opinion) overpriced, but also not much to rave about either which is why it stays in the average star ratings for me.

Café Rouge always manages to deliver a top quality dining experience. The immaculate surroundings, impeccable service and fantastic cuisine makes for a fantastic time. I love it here! (The minute steak comes highly recommended!)

This Café Rouge served us well during our stay at Brighton Marina for a long weekend. So well that we dined here twice — once for a late breakfast, and once for dinner. That dinner was awesome, mostly because we had a 50% off voucher. Sweet deal. The food? It’s a chain restaurant — if you’ve eaten at one Café Rouge, you’ve eaten at them all. My beef bourguignon was very salty and didn’t make me miss my recent lack of red meat. The service? Slightly better than average. I attribute that to the practically empty restaurant on both occasions though. The prices? Slight above what they should be, IMHO. But that voucher was fantastic. Almost £60 off your bill is nothing to sniff at. Brighton Marina is 99% chains, so you could do much worse than having a meal or two at Café Rouge if you’re around these parts…

Located at the end of the Marina waterfront this is a blast of french culture. Café Rouge is clean and very atmospheric. The menu is mainly in french with some english side notes so maybe time to bring out the j’adore in you. Sometimes it can get a bit noisy but the food is superb. A little pricey side but you get what you pay for. The staff are a little dissapointing nothing major but could make you feel like you’re not an inconvenience.

I used to love this chain as it was always a little bit different — now I’m not so sure. The whole dining experience is now very chainy. This particular branch is huge and in the summer can get absolutely packed. The waiting time for service can be long and even when you have managed to order food takes ages to arrive. To be fair the food is fine — but quite unmemorable once eaten. Ok for a quick bite if you are in the marina — but don’t make a specific trip there.

Huge restaurant. Lovely place to have brunch when the weather is good as there is a terrace overlooking the marina. Always a good menu. Can normally get a table.
