Staff are very friendly and there are plenty of seats. There food is very nice however for the price would like to have a larger portion.

Go! If you haven’t been? Then go! They do an awesome calamari with the best sauce ever! For real! First time I went I was pregnant and the staff were so helpful in helping me find what I was craving and also what I was able to drink lol! Anytime I’ve been back I’ve had the same attention to detail Did I mention that you should go?!

Chiquito is a decidedly average Mexican restaurant. More Europeanised or Americanised in style than traditional Mexican food. I’ve eaten in Chiquito a couple of times and it’s been pleasant enough in terms of service, food and atmosphere. However it’s not a restaurant I’d rush back to. It’s slightly overpriced and I’d describe it as decent but not amazing.

Very bad! I will not come back. From management till the food. The margaritas are water taste, the burrito without meat, the nachos very dry, and the managers, 2 guys, disgusting. So, the server was the only thing fine in that place. Really this place doesn’t deserve to be at Victoria mall.

Been a few times and food is good, desserts are even better, but is let down by slow service at times. But worth a visit!

belfast mexican cannot expect very much not really worth it I went here desperate for some Mexican, and Chiquito barely satiated. The prices: decent, the service: slow, the food: more or less recognizable. It’s just not really Mexican as I know it. I ordered the chimichanga and it was essentially a fried burrito tossed on a plate with three little bowls of topping: guac(not really), sour cream(meh), salsa(from a jar, or bag, or something). Just, I beg, don’t come here if you’re a tourist. You’ll be sorely disappointed.

I’m a big fan of Mexican food but not such a big fan of Chiquito. Went at lunchtime on a weekday and the place was practically empty! The lunch menu is 8.99 which is a fairly decent price but the food was not good. The lunch menu is almost too big and strays too much from mexican classics with burgers, bruschettas, chicken wings etc? It was just a bit weird! I went for the nachos(unpleasant, cold and gooey. bland!!) and the Pulled pork quesadilla(again nothing like what mexican food should taste like-cold and bland and weirdly served with fries?!) I also got a margarita(I LOVE margaritas) which tasted like salt water with a dash of tequila. was not good! Also extremely overpriced! 5.95 for a margarita in a teeny tiny glass! The service was also really slow considering we were the only ones there! Won’t be going to this place again… do not recommend if you’re a true fan of spicy tasty mexican classics!

Andale! Andale! Arriba! Arriba! Man I love Mexican food, fell in love on a trip to California and have not been right since. I am just salivating at the thought of a big fat burrito, bursting at the seams with lime rice and re fried beams, sour cream and guacamole, yum yum! Chiquito is the only Mexican place we could find open on a Sunday, it was great, now I gotta admit the portion size was on the small side, and I definitely needed my sides of corn and onion rings, I got the vegetarian chili burrito, but it wasn’t hot really, tasty but not OTT. I would go back most certainly, a little on the expensive side but most places in Victoria Square tend towards the pricey.

Mexican is one of my favourites when it comes to food, so I was really excited about trying Chiquito after hearing a few recommendations for it, and went to Victoria Square especially to give it a try. We came on a Saturday lunchtime, and while there were plenty of patrons in, it wasn’t packed. I went for a starter first, and got the nachos, which arrived piled high with only a small sprinkling of cheese, and small amounts of guacamole and salsa, lots of jalapenos, and no sour cream even though it said it would have it on the menu, due to this, they were rather dry. I had ordered a main course(chicken fajitas) but unfortunately never got to try them because after waiting quite some time, it appeared that we had been forgotten about. I managed to attract the attention of a waitress who apologised and offered to take the order again, but I declined due to time constraints. I wouldn’t be adverse to giving Chiquito another go, because granted they had not been long open when I visited, and they may have been having teething problems, but a great first impression was not made.

I’m so so on Chiquitos. It’s a big too big and like a massive cow-shed to have any sort of ambience or atmosphere. The food they serve is an eclectic range of Mexican dishes like yummy burritos and enchiladas. I watched everyones food coming out and all the dishes looked very interesting and smelled delicious. I felt guilty for not sampling some of the cuisine on offer but I really had a craving for a simple burger and chips, so I went for that. It was nice, nothing to write home about. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The décor inside is pretty nice but it did feel a bit too ‘let’s dine in the mall y’all for me’.

I’m a fan of Mexican food, I like it when you can get a nice filling meal without it becoming crazy spicy or hot and this kind of place gives you plenty of options. I like burritos or something that it is easy to get the vegetarian options, also I like that mexican can be filling without being too pricey. This place is pretty massive and really well laid out, with plenty of space and room to sit and enjoy a meal with friends and family. There is always a good selection food, sides and drinks. While this place is a little bit corporate for my tastes and I would rather go to a local place like boojum or a local restaurant but its good if you’re shopping and need to grab a quick bite. The staff are polite and helpful, so I certainly wouldn’t discourage too many people from going here.

Mexican is my all time favourite food– on par with Indian! Its so exotic and familiar and there’s so many different things you can do with it! I was exceptionally excited to see that there was finally a descent Mexican restaurant open in Belfast and they serve desperado’s beer… amazing! Went here on Saturday and it was pretty busy though you don’t notice as the place is so well laid out and so big and spacious, its nice to have a dining experience where you don’t feel like they’ve packed you in like cattle. The menu is huge! The poor waiter had to return for the third time before anyone could make their mind up on what delights to have! I eventually went for burritos with, get this, shredded duck as a filling! Makes a nice change from beef or chicken! We got a range of sides including coleslaw, chili, potatoes and corn on the cob(which were the best part!) and everything was absolutely perfect! I love the style of the restaurant too as it has tables built around fake trees, fairy lights and chandeliers made from beer bottles! A fantastic place and to top it all off, at the end we were giving a voucher where the next time we come you can get either a free starter or dessert with your main for up to 6 people! Like I need an excuse to return! As good as it gets folks!

Brand new place. Opened in the failed chillis restuarant in Victoria Sq. Service is a million times better than it’s predecessor. Food great also
