Food was quick and tasted great. I got a chicken fillet burger meal and the chicken was juicy and fresh. The meal itself was huge and I left most of the chips but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and I will definitely be revisiting this chippy soon. The food which came with chips and a bottle of coke was £6.00 which I thought was great value for the amount of food I got.

I’m not really mad into shoes. I tend to buy a few unusual pairs and stick to them as opposed to buying loads of bland shoes which all look the same. Saying this I probably have over 30 pairs, but that’s moderate right? Some friends of mine, the Dinsmore sisters, yes they come as a collective are mad into the shoes here. You know the type so high they look like something Dita Von Tesse would wear them? I wouldn’t bother as how the hell could you have a bit of a dance in those yokes? The shoes Aldo stock are alright, nothing major to write home about. The standout thing about them is they do offer good value for money. The shop is small enough and stocks a lot of plain jane handbags also. Not for me, but I’m sure if I was given a voucher I’d find something that’d catch my eye!

I’ve only ever bought one thing from this shop, and it wasn’t even a pair of shoes. If I’m honest, I find the stock in Aldo really boring. I’ll pop in if I’m looking for a pair of shoes, but can’t ever really find anything that has a bit of wow about it. It’s all just a bit… brown. The shoes are of a good enough quality, and the staff are generally really helpful, but I find it a bit pricey for all you get, so I wouldn’t be too worried about going in unless there’s a sale on.

I went in here last year to get my sister her bridesmaids shoes having hunted high and low through out Belfast — to be fair her tastes were simple enough and we saw several little silver sandals that would have done but the ones in Aldo were really nice. There was a big sale on and when she went to pay at the till there was also additional money off — end of season stock. We both were very impressed but I feel like it was just a one off and a lucky day — I have been in loads of times since and just can’t see anything that I like — I also noticed that all the Autumn/Winter shoe and boots are in and they have taken everything else away — it’s like a homage to winter footwear! Quite expensive too unless it is in the sale. Mixed feelings about Aldo, maybe good for a one off bargain but expensive and a bit samey. I do love their cool shoe boxes which are smaller and better for the environment.

I saw precisely two pairs of shoes and one pair of boots that I liked in here. It’s the sort of shop that looks as if it will be good but then you find very little. All the shoes are mainly in blacks or browns so it all looks quite restrained and stylish. There are also a few accessories including belts, sunglasses and jewellery and I spotted some quite good and affordable leather bags. Prices are from £35.00 but mostly you are looking at £60 plus for shoes and £100 for boots. In Belfast Aldo shop is small but there is a much greater variety on the website, so this branch could be useful for trying sizes. Less nice are the synthetic leather options which don’t sit will with the rest of the stock which is reasonable quality though some items look as if they’d cramp your toes.

I got my school shoes here and not only do they look great but they are also really comfortable and excellent quality. The heels on shoes in here are sky-high which is fantastic for us short girls though they come at a price. The shoes here are gorgeous
