Nice chilled-out atmosphere and a good varied menu. I came here for lunch and had a veggie burger — you can ‘build your own’ which was quite fun. Nice, friendly service as well. I’m not a vegetarian but I thought the food was good and decently priced. It’s nothing to write home about but it’s certainly one of the better places for lunch in the city.

Thank goodness I found The Green Room! Being vegan in Lisbon is a pain. No tofu to be found in a restaurant. The way seitan is cooked is bleah. But, at the green room the vegan burger with hummus and couscous side salad was a-mazing!!! Just delicious! The ambiance was relaxed too. And the price reasonable. I would recommend this place for any vegan visiting or living in Lisbon!

Love it. The food is so fresh and delicious, and vegetarian options abound. There’s a board inside for burger choices, and even the veggie patties are succulent. I loved the multigrain bread that came with the hummus, and other things we ordered — soup, chorizo, and lasagne — were all well prepared as well. You can opt for a couscous salad or sweet potato fries with your burger, and the lasagne already comes with couscous salad. Indulge and don’t feel too guilty while dining at the Green Room. The sangria is crafted with the usual suspects — apples, lemons, oranges, strawberries, limes — but also grapes, mint, and cinnamon. There’s sidewalk seating but the interior is cozy and edgy as well. There’s a unique candle stand by the sink in the bathroom area and the rest of the décor is unassuming but inviting. The location is just off the waterfront boardwalk so it has all the convenience of a prime spot while shedding the maniacal and typical tourist traps. Would return next time I’m in Lisbon.

Fabulous vegan oasis in a Portuguese fish-filled desert. :) I mean, there are some options but not a ton. This place is great and could hold its own in any vegan-friendly place in the US. Loved it.

Back in Lisbon, back in the Green Room. I had been looking forward to their hummus ever since I booked my flight. Same great taste, generous portion and extremy friendly service. Excellent choice for any vegetarian.

We went here to get lunch on a Saturday. The place was empty but since it had good Unilocal reviews we still decided to sit down and get some food. Their options seemed promising and sounded very good. When I got my vegan burger I wasn’t too excited anymore though. It tasted like an average burger and the fries were soaked in oil. It wasn’t the worst thing I ever ate but I was expecting something better… The waiter was really nice and the place itself very cozy and nicely decorated. But because of the taste I can ‘only’ give 4 stars.

I got the summer salad and the hummus + grilled vegetable toast, which was sort of way too much food for 1 person. They also had a brunch special which was eggs, bacon/vegan sausage, toast, yogurt, musli, fruit salad and juice for 10 euros. The two dishes I got tasted very mediocre. The salad was just a load of different fruits tossed together on a bed of lettuce, tomato and bell pepper. I could not taste any dressing. The toast was pretty good but definitely not worth 5 euros — two pieces of bread, spoonful of hummus, 2 slices of grilled zucchini, red pepper and onions. The ingredients weren’t even organic. I would not come here again, but if you need a break from all that seafood come here maybe.

Had lunch here the other day and left really satisfied. It’s not the cheapest place and it’s not the best vegan meal I’ve had in Lisbon but it was pretty good. The hamburger was very good and so were the sweet potato fries. For dessert we had a piece of orange and chocolate cake(also vegan) but this I didn’t like as much. It was overly sweet and had a strange texture. It wasn’t bad but I had trouble finishing it. Staff is nice, service is a bit slow but that wasn’t a problem that day. It’s also not the most comfortable place ever.

Three friends and I went here for dinner last night and it was wonderful! We ordered the garlic hummus to start, and it was incredible. Their homemade brown bread is hearty, and the hummus is packed full of flavor. I ordered the summer salad, two friends ordered from their 9 euro build your own burger special, and the last friend ordered the banana coconut curry daily special. I had a bite of everything and it was all very tasty. We finished with a house made vegan banana chocolate cake(only 3.80 euros). Bob Marley was playing in the background the whole time while we ate, which helped the relaxed and casual atmosphere of the place. The chef was very accommodating and so sweet. Will definitely come back here again!

I seriously never went to such a good rated veggie place that was so bad like this one. Sorry, I dont want to destroy businesses but I dont understand peeps who are writing about the ‘best’ burger, its expensive for what u get and the atmosphere is not so nice. The food was not fresh and if u are vegan u shouldnt go there. Only 10% of the menu is vegetarian and now I have digestion problems. :/I am disappointed of Unilocal the first time since I use it

Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert!

If you visit The Green Room you must try the veggie burger. It’s dense and hearty and possibly the best veggie burger I’ve had. The soups, salads and entrees at this restaurant are amazingly fresh and flavorful. It was a bit of paradise for a girl on the road with a dairy allergy. I’d recommend it to any vegetarian, vegan, or fan of healthy food. The staff was friendly and the food comes out quickly. On a side note, the décor is interesting. Apparently, a previous restaurant there hand an in floor aquarium. It’s now covered aside for the bathroom… Don’t let surprise you when you walk in.

I had the black bean burger and it was great. Served open face on a slice of whole grain bread but smothered with vegetables and guacamole and with a side of salad. It was very good and filling. Nice waiter spoke great English and was very helpful. I would recommend this Restaurant.

One of the best vegan meals I’ve had in Europe so far. Nice casual atmosphere and attentive service. Excellent filling non pretentious food.

* Had one of the specials for the day, which was a black bean burger with guacamole and other stuff on wheat bread * There was also a salad * Staff are nice * It was exactly the kind of thing you need after a long day of walking * Then I visited the train yard nearby… * Very extensive vegetarian menu

It was the healthiest meal we had in Lisbon. The café’s décor was interesting with bricks, not tiles like the rest of the city! There were many vegan dishes on the menu. Sadly their tapas menu wasn’t available when we visited later in the afternoon, but what we had was very good. I ordered a couscous salad. The bowl was huge with couscous and lettuce, topped with tomatoes, cucumbers and apple slices. Couscous was a little dry by itself, so I mixed in some balsamic vinegar! My boyfriend had a vegan pizza. The crust was crispy, hot from the oven and I really enjoyed the sauce and the selection of veggie toppings like pumpkin. We also had fresh squeezed juice and vegan ice cream :) The only thing that bothered me was that they kept all the doors and windows wide open and it was very cold being inside in the middle of February. But there were people dining outside, so people here are used to eating outside in winter?
