This is just one of numerous food outlets at Amsterdam Airport and they are almost all equally depressing in terms of food. This little café offers some decent sandwiches at inflated prices as well as some salads. None of these have been really good but they have not been awful either. Still it is a typical airport café in that it is so apparent that they are not trying to be good, more of the attitude of where else are you going to go to eat. It is at least a bit colorful in the design but nothing worth visiting. I sometimes pick-​up a drink or a sandwich from here if I have not had the time to eat before the flight but the quality is roughly the same as what is served on the flights and the prices are about the same as well.

Café Comunal was located conveniently next to my boarding gate in the airport. It was a great stop and I had a bacon, egg, and cheese «bocadillo» which was their sandwich offering. They also do cold sandwiches that looked fairly fresh.
For my drink I had a freshly made strawberry orange juice drink which was pretty refreshing after a hot sandwich.
Still a bit hungry I went back and got a hot chocolate which was pretty amazing. I know they made it from a machine but it must have been the international chocolate and warm foam on top that set it apart from a normal hot chocolate I am used to. It is also served in a thick glass instead of a mug.
Overall the Café Comunal experience was good in the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Their tables had outlets on them so you can charge your mobile devices while you consume some tasty eats. I’m giving this place a solid 3 only because it was at the airport and the places captive market allows for some inflated prices.

This Café next to the C12 gate at Amsterdam Schipol has certainly the best Tuna Salad from all cafes. I am beocming an expert on this Airport, and I have been an expert on Tuna Salads ever since, so trust me :) Sandwiches also rock, but what’s the best is MUSIC. They play all kind of cuban rythms, so your soul tired of flying around the world gets happier by every moment of sitting there. On the top of all this, they have electric plugs all around, so you can charge your devices, and continue working with your meal or coffee.
If you ever fly from C-​gates, give this place a try. You won’t regret!
