This is the café I stop at for a coffee and a little chocolate when I have a layover in Amsterdam, which is more often than not! It has great seating, nice staff and your drink comes with a little chocolate. The coffee is good. I have not tried any pastries. Prices are as any other spot in an airport(your trapped! what other choice do you have but to pay $ 4 for a muffin!?) but it may as well be consistently good tasting. That is why I recommend Café Chocolat.

Wow. What a nice cup of Dark chocolate mousse with strawberry slices. A very strong dark chocolate taste, with a hint of sourness from the strawberry. Order the grey tea as a companion(well matched). The Panna Cotta has a nice vanilla taste with a subtle alcohol taste(not sure about which alcohol they are using). Service is excellent. Very friendly girls behind the counter. Ask for a help/recommendation on what to eat/order if you are not sure. They serve some chocolate sweets with gluten free and low on sugar, as well as sandwich. Hot beverages and alcohols are available too. Pure stevia sugar is available by tables. They also sell big chunks of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.

Anyone giving this place less than a four star review(knocking off the standard one star for service issues) hates chocolate, period and you should not be eating at a place called Café Chocolate. I go here everytime I am passing through Schiphol. Self serve by weight chocolate? Yes, please. Hot Chocolate made with steamed milk and a literal hunk of chocolate? Heaven. The service is not friendly and can go slow but who cares. I am not there to make friends. I am there to eat chocolate, take my money and leave me be. The only thing I do not like is they do not offer tongs to grab your hunk, or in my case hunks, of chocolate with. I saw one uncouth Irishman grab a hunk with his bare hands then put it back for a different piece. I try to always grab from the back and tell myself I am the only person on Earth who has ever thought to do this.

A bit expensive, but a great cup of coffee and a small piece of chocolate for 3,95 €! nice view of the landing strip if you are into airplanes :).

Wow, a bright spot indeed at this airport that must have been sent to us straight out of hell! The usual traveller passing through Schiphol has either 5 mins and is speeding down the halls hoping to catch a flight that has often already left or he has 5 hours to spent and wanders what on earth to do with those. The lacking coordingation of connections is incredible. If you ever belong to the latter group, find Café Chocolat and indulge! Don’t be put off by the rather unfriendly staff, they’re really busy and get to serve whole lotta unnerved customers You need to order at their bar, which is good in a way as you can have a close look at all the cookies, cakes, chocolates, pralines, biscuits and other pleasures. I had something called Black Square Pie, which was amazing and totally soothed all my negative emotions towards the whole airport. Yes, it was that good;) The experience ist quite pricey, but hey. Do you want to feel better, or what?
