Ah the Wasserette is something super hot, I am not just talking about the breakfasts and lunch. This is the spot to be seen in if you are hot, sexy and a proud local. ******Pay attention to the crowd, it reminds me of home Corona Del Mar In(OC) California. *****So don’t go there looking like you just left your bed. The menu is so simple, and… You can’t ever be wrong with your choice, I always have the grilled avocado salad without any croutons(gluten free wanna be! hahaha) The food is made while you wait, so have a glass of ice tea, it is homemade and let me say… YUUUUUUM The plates are simple, to the point and keeps you coming back for more. ********Seriously, If you are going to complain about the simplicity of the food, don’t go! if you want like a McDonalds munch menu, turn right, you will find one not too far. The Staff:(eye candy) I think they do it on purpose, there are hot and semi-hot guys behind the counter. The kitchen is part of the excitement, you can see the chef/cook working it! They are cool, calm and collective, the way the staff rotates is perfect, they synchronize their moves just because the place is small and very busy.(Good job!) *******The best part is: drum rolls…(The staff will actually take a couple of minutes to chat with you, TADDDDDDA) ***************OK… I have a thing with toilets,(germofob wanna be) I always need to inspect it to see how clean it is, a clean toilette says many things about the place(don’t deny it, you know it’s true!, hahahaha) *******Now my tonsils are removed,(YAHOOOOOOO) i can now sit outside with the nasty smokers to enjoy the terrace. The terrace is always busy like any terraces in Amsterdam, but you can always ask a table if you can share.(Hard not to ears drop and get into the conversation hahahahah) Would i recommend De Wassarette? Actually, NO. Just because i won’t have a spot to sit and I really don’t want a flood of tourist to be there, they really wouldn’t know how to appreciate this.(Yes, i am selfish, deal with it) And YES, just don’t hug the place The downside, they don’t serve wine.

Typical Amsterdam café. Food was decent service just okay. This is what we ordered. Lentil Soup — good taste, nice texture. Shrimp Croquettes — Really good. Avocado, Pomodori and Basil sandwich — perfect for the vegan in you. Omelette with gruyiure cheese, Pancetta, Pomodori, and spinach — Good decent omelette. Everything comes with toast. 90 cents extra for jam. Cheesecake — light and not to sweet. Banana Bread — meh Location is great for people watching on a rainy day. Overall good. I went late in the afternoon, so I didn’t get to try any coffees. May go back to try a flat white.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! I’m a real breakfast lover so I don’t make this judgement lightly. Trust me! This is a surprising little gem.

Fantastic little café! Lots of vegetarian options in the sandwiches. The smoothies are lekker too. But my favourite thing about de wasserette is the carrot cake. There is something so unique and wonderful about it. Recommended spot for a lazy brunch.

One of the better people watching corners in the neighborhood. A great place to have a bite on a rainy or sunny day. The outside seating is inviting, and the music is always a nice touch. Food wise, the menu is limited but has something for everyone. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, with quality ingredients and delicious. I find the eggs been to be the best in town — light and simple. I highly recommend killing an hour or two at «de Wasserette».

This über popular place in the Pijp is great for a coffee and cake. They have a huge selection of homemade pastries and over the weekend they have a small menu more consistent dishes. I had the eggs benedict, and were nicely poached with a surprisingly not so fatty hollandaise sauce. The crowd is very hip, as in most places in the Pijp, so if that makes you feel uncomfortable there are plenty of other choices around. You have to order at the counter but the food is delivered to your table. All in all a food place for a coffee, But If You are after a proper brunch I would consider any of the alternative places in the area.

The omelette with gruyère and pancetta is bomb bomb delish! My girlfriend also enjoyed her eggs Benedict very much. The cappuccino is also wonderful here. This place is very clean and yummy. It’s a cute lil café overlooking a nice lil square. If you go in the morning, you will see beautiful flowers being carted by on tiny delivery trucks.

Great spot in a cool area, this is more of a loca place for breakfast and brunch. They have some creative and tasty sandwiches here. When I saw the pictures of the Chicken, avocado, bacon, truffle mayo sandwich I knew I had to have it. It was pretty satisfying and filling. The quality was great, service was good, and overall it was an enjoyable say to sit outside. I will be back!

my favourite place in amsterdam. it’s not that the eggs florentine are the best eggs I’ve ever had(and, trust me, I’ve had a few!), the place has a great atmosphere, the coffee is great and the service is always on point. you may have to queue to get a table more often that I’d like, but once you’re there the service is fast and efficient. oh, and the apple pie. and the granola bars. and the brownie.

Want a small cozy place with a delicious filling breakfast? How about some good tea? Want outdoor seating? Check out De Wasserette! We had Eggs Norwegian and French Toast. All was incredibly tasty and filling. While they do serve you, you will need to order anything you want at the cashier and pay ahead of time. Personally, I like this method! The people are friendly and happy to help! And after you eat, you can head a block over to the Albert Cuyp Market!

De Wasserette makes my favorite soy lattes. Serious deliciousness. Also good pie and cakes. Cozy and small place that is always teeming with hip Dutchies. Great location right in De Pijp and close to lots of shops and the Albert Cuyp Market. Plenty of outdoor seating on the street for fantastic people watching, not so much inside seating but there is a long table right down the middle. Hot guys both work and go there. Minimal modern décor. The chicken bacon sandwich is sizable and satisfying, served«open faced» style. Other sandwiches follow suit. Usual prices, not too expensive. My advice would be to order inside at the bar then head outside and relax. Overall, worth checking out. My Dutch friend who lived in De Pijp always took me there for soy lattes and croissants, and I was never disappointed. They also have other plentiful servings of breakfast foods! mmmmmm, lekker.

I went there with a group of 8 friends for breakfast adn even though it was pretty crowded outside we still managed to get a large table inside. You have to order your food and drinks at the coffee bar, so there sometimes is a small cue, but this is also nice as you can easily get to know the other guest and start to smalltalk with them. The coffee is excelent! Also the berry smoothie and freshly squeezed orange juice was very yummuy. The breakfast was also really good and the service is really quick. We has a granola with jogurt and fresh berries, sandwiches(really big), frensh toast(perfect hangover breakfast) and spinach and poached eggs(also very big and yummy). The location is just around the corner of the Albert Cuyp market in a very lovely neighborhood.

I love this place. Great food and great coffee, which makes for a great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot. The only problem is that on the weekends it is super packed. Especially with the sunnier months coming up, be prepared. If you wait for a bit, however, you can get lucky and grab a spot. The wait is worth it, especially if you grab the good table. I will be egoistic and not say which one it is, so you need to go and check it out for yourself: P Also, the food is great. I am a sucker for eggs Benedict, or any eggs for that matter. I have so far always enjoyed the Eggs Norwegian(or Royale. With salmon anyways), and with one time exception I have also always enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise is great and the eggs are poached right. I would also recommend the homemade iced tea. It is lemony with some mint leaves and not too sweet, so it is very refreshing. I hope they do not start putting more sugar in it. Either way: Take the XL if you are thirsty.

Possibly the best coffee in Amsterdam outside of special roasters/brewers. And the best breakfast and brunch food. This place literally never disappoints. The chicken and avocado sandwich is LEGENDARY.(And I don’t even like sandwiches!!) Great staff and atmosphere as well; though it gets super busy, you can usually find a place because there are lots of little nooks for you to sit.

This place already has pretty good reviews, but I thought it deserved another one. I simply love this place! First of all, it has a very cosy atmosphere which makes you feel welcome as you walk through the door; I really like the interior design, modern but warm, with wooden floor and tables. A big table in the back is great for studying/working. More importantly: great food! Their tartines(open-faced sandwiches) are pretty awesome and they have a nice range of choices. I personally love the chicken-avocado-pancetta-parmegiano one — but that’s for serious hungers! — and the salmon-avocado one. For breakfast or brunch, their eggs are also very good, and I like that they offer a granola bowl. Their croissants are really good too(and that’s coming from someone who knows about real french croissants!), and their brownies are yummy! On top of all of that: best coffee I’ve had in Amsterdam so far! and you can take away :) The only downside is that it is often pretty crowded, so it can be difficult to find a spot, especially for lunch on weekdays. Wait, another down side is that they don’t have wifi. You’re told that you can get the open wifi from another place, but it’s just not good; too far away from the AP, you loose the signal pretty often… I guess you don’t mind for lunch or brunch, so that’s not too bad(not enough to come down one star), but definitely something to improve(I really like working from a nice café with great coffee, but I need wifi!)

Yep, as everyone else has said — this place has awesome breakfast. The staff are incredibly good looking, the vibe is cool. I had the eggs florentine — super lekker! Good coffee. Nice outdoor seating. FINALLY, I’ve found a sweet breakfast spot in De Pijp. Wait, in all of Amsterdam, I mean. :) Hangover cure, complete!

De Wasserette is a really cool spot in the Pijp located next to the Albert Kuyp market. This place is very crowded during the weekends and when the sun is out the cute terrace is even filled during weekdays. This part of the Pijp is really a very gezellig part. I love this place because it is always busy and there is always this weekend feeling with all the people drinking and eating. The interior at De Wasserette is really cool. Wood and industrial details, little flowers on the tables. What I love about this place is that they open very early(7.30!) and that you can have your foodies and coffee to go. They have some really nice breakfast foods like granola and french toasts, and there are all kinds of sandwiches and egg dishes(like eggs benedict, eggs florentine) which you can order all day. Their coffee is seriously good! I am really glad to have this great spot in my neighbourhood. It is great for a summer brunch on their lovely terrace or actually brunch/coffee/lunch any time of the year really.

Muy buen lugar para desayunar por The Pijp. El café es delicioso. Con la comida no tuvimos tanta suerte pero creo que erramos en lo q pedimos, vimos otros platos que se veían realmente bien!
