It looks like the previous reviewers just came for lunch/​coffee. This place really shines at dinner, where you order food by the plank. Each plank comes with 5 different mini dishes, sort of like Dutch tapas or dim sum. You can choose a theme for your plank (some combination of meat, fish, and veggies), or let the chef choose. The planks are portioned for two, so don’t come alone, unless you’re super hungry!

We came in a sunny afternoon to have coffee and that is all about it. Nothing really out of the ordinary. The coffee was good, I had latte macchiato and boyfriend had regular latte (which I think no difference at all lol). This place has great outdoor seating by the canal. If you want to chat with a friend and spend a relaxing sunny afternoon outside in Leiden, then this could be your option.

I ordered the onion soup and the Veggie Burger: I was disappointed in both. The onion soup was runny and the bread, which was to be roasted, it was completely melted. The burger has been served with fries and salad. The bun was completely toasted and the patty was bigger than bun. The result was the hamburger smashed in my hands.
