So… if you are staying near Amsterdam airport and want to escape the hotel scene this is your place. Think Key West with a great nautical feel, awesome seafood, and a very warm and inviting atmosphere. You will find patrons with t-​shirts and others meeting for a cocktail after leaving the office. It has great views of the waterways and many evenings in the summer has as much going on outback as it does in the busy dining room. Great place to chill out and enjoy a good mojito (or two).

Papa’s Beachhouse liegt direkt an einem See mit einem kleine Strand.
Das Gebäude ist wohl ehemals ein Schuppen gewesen und wurde komplett im New England Stil renoviert und umgebaut. Maritimes Flair durchzieht das gesamte Gebäude. Sei es nun die Angelruten oder die Paddelboote an der Wand oder noch viel besser, der große Schwertfisch, der wie eine Tröphäe unter der Decke trohnt.
Das Ambiente ist wirklich klasse und man fühlt sich sofort wohl.
Hätte das Wetter an diesem Tage mitgespielt, wäre der Beach sicherlich auch ein perfekter Ort für ein Drink gewesen.
Der Service ist locker und bemüht. Manchmal aber nicht immer ganz aufmerksam.
Das Cocktail-​Mixern wurde scheinbar auch noch geübt, den mit Rezept und Meßbecher in der Hand, wirkte das Ganze doch etwas hilflos. Das Ergebnis im Glas war leider dementsprechend auch nur semioptimal.
Allen Kritikpunkten zum Trotz, gebe ich für die Location und das Ambiente 4 Sterne!
