Having spent a few hours in Delft we became hungry and randomly picked out the Lunchcafe 9 tot Van Zeven. It was cute and very welcoming. This was in October and the weather was cold and rainy so we sat inside, way in the back. The waitstaff was very pleasant and quick to serve us. I had just had tons of cheese samples in the cheese shops so I opted for just a soup and a grilled sandwich. The soup was brie, smoked salmon and onion. I never heard of such a combination but it was delicious. Tiny dots of brie in a creamy soup with chunks of salmon and green onion. Served with a couple of brown bread toast points. The sandwich was ham and cheese on brown bread and it was also delicious. If I were ever to go back to Delft I would definitely investigate what other offerings this delightful restaurant has.
