The service and food here was amazing. The ladies in the service staff did a great job of explaining everything and making suggestions. Went with the starter sampler and had the burger and steak between the two of us. The dessert and limoncello were fantastic.

I wasthere on 2^nd october 2015 with 3 other friends. The location is a small but very nice location with a bar in front and seats. The service is really nice and great. The dinner is very delicious. The meat and fish are very tasty incl. the offer of wine and deserts.

This is an outstanding little place. I had the risotto with mushrooms and asparagus! The best risotto I have ever had in a restaurant including In northern Italy! Wow was it great! The salad was lightly dressed but incredibly fresh. The caramel toffee cake was luscious. Service, leisurely but attentive. Price moderate. Don’t miss this place! I will definitely return.

My parents came here in July on one of the hottest days of the year. We didn’t have a reservation, but it did fill up so I would recommend booking one. The food was excellent and the service matched. Our waiter had a fun time translating the specials into English and then to typical American lingo. We started with the soup of the day and the Dutch beef carpaccio and loved both. I had the tuna steak which was a huge and delicious portion. My mom had the black angus steak which she loved, and my dad had the «poultry» special of the day. We would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone!

Best food so far in Amsterdam. Highly recommend the burger and beans. Tasted like pure fat mmmmm

We were walking looking for a place to eat dinner on our last night in Amsterdam and walked by this place. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed! The service was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We were a party of six and nobody was disappointed with their meal. A great find for our last dinner in this great city!

This place has high quality food & service. You’re going to get food that is prepared by a chef that really cares about his product. Good portions, not huge, but good. Not super high prices, but higher than average. If you want really good food & wine, try this place. You absolutely wont be disappointed!

Recommended by some friends my wife & I stopped in on our first night in Amsterdam. We didn’t have a reservation but we showed up at 6pm when they opened and they were glad to seat us. I had the fish of the day (sole), and my wife had the tuna steak. Both delicious. For desert, sticky toffee pudding, absolutely delicious. People were ordering the burgers which looked amazing.

Delicious, fresh food in a cozy environment. Surprised that we were able to walk right in on a Monday night. Friendly staff made us feel welcome.

This is a very very nice place. I was there twice within a week, and both times service, food and atmosphere were nothing but perfect. I don’t remember when I experienced such nice and warm-​hearted staff like at Vlaming. The Burger was delicious, truly royal! Beer was good, wine and espresso, home made limoncello!
I can recommend this place as you can easily guess after having read my vlaming speech! :-)

We went there for some starters, and saw the food of our seat neighbours. Then we chose for leaving starters aside, and ordered the black Angus steak with blue cheese sauce and also a Risotto with Asparagus, which we shared. The wine we were recommended to choose for was called «Viu Manent», very fruity and not too heavy. It perfectly fit to the food, the waitress asked for what we prefer, and gave us proof of her knowledge. The steak was of very good quality, perfectly cooked, and the blue cheese sauce was of discreet but fine taste. The Risotto was cooked with perfect timing, creamy and very tasty, too. We could not get enough, so we ordered (one) desert, the Crème Brulée with Cinamon Icecream on top, which was also manufactured perfectly. Important: reservation definitely necessary. We will definitely come back!

A new find and we will definitely be back. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent food. The black Angus steak with blue cheese sauce was to die for!

This place is a true hidden gem!
The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly.
The ecofriendly pork loin with truffle sauce was really to die for! So tender and juicy with a tasty sauce. At under 20 € it was a bargain even with no fries included.
The sticky bread pudding is not optional for anyone with a sweet toot but a must!
We had a great Italian wine to the food for a bout 35 € wich was quite ok.
Go here, eat good! You wont regret it.

Wonderful dinner experience here at Vlaming Eten & Drinken! From the incredible service, to the wine, to the food… one of our best dinners here in Amsterdam!
After ordering an outstanding bottle of wine from South Africa we started our meal with one of their specials, a pork pâté, that was lovely. For our main dishes my fiancé ordered the Hamburger Royale and I ordered the Pork Loin. The burger was HUGE and topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, and a runny fried egg on top of an Italian roll. Somewhat difficult to eat, but very good. The pork loin was served on top of a very tasty truffle sauce, my favorite part of the dish.
We ended our meal with the hot chocolate cake that is served with vanilla ice cream. Oh. My. Gosh. I’ve had my fair share of hot chocolate cakes with gooey, warm chocolate oozing out from the middle… this was no ordinary hot chocolate cake. So amazing. The perfect end to a delicious meal.
The restaurant itself is small with dim lighting, perfect for an intimate dinner with friends or a loved ones. I would definitely recommend making reservations, as it’s a very small space and quite popular!

Go here for typical «eetcafe» food but then of high quality!
Amazing hamburgers (BIG!), thick and juicy steak from black angus cows, fantastic home made french fries, delicious sate, Tuna steak, fresh veggies, and much more.
The wines are pretty good as well and there’s a nice selection of beers.
OH and don’t forget the sticky toffee pie, a favorite of many.
