Love this place :) The few times I’ve been the atmosphere was laid back and servers were friendly. And their bitterballen are good!

We had a great dinner here… with a 2 year old! Just a block away from our house, this is a great pub with great food. The menu is limited but everything on it was good and it still provided good alternatives. The service was great, very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they have. Definitely making this little place a regular stop when we visit.

€ 11 for the best filet mignon dinner in Amsterdam! There is a reason some of the top restaurants in Amsterdam are populated with former Blaffende Vis chefs. The menu changes daily, but every Monday you are certain to find the most tender filet mignon atop a medley of potatoes and vegetables … today brussel sprouts with bacon. At € 11, I challenge any restaurant in Amsterdam to provide the same atmosphere, staff and most importantly, quality of food, at that price.

The tuna salad with tomato, lettuce and farmer’s bread was delicious. The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The restrooms are also clean. Clean and cozy place. Definitely recommended.

Had a late lunch here today, great service with a smile. They did forget one of our drinks but they were also dealing with a rather large group of customers outside. Great vibe, lovely people.

We LOVE it here! The staff is super friendly and the BLTA on brown bread may be the best sandwich I have had in my life.

A really busy Bar away from the usual tourist traps. We went there on on a saturday night after traipsing around the town and going on a brewery tour. We got there about 6pm and we had planned to go to a bar over the road that was still closed. However the rain set in and we ended up staying here for about 5 hours. It was very interesting to see a «normal» side to life in Amsterdam away from the tourist hubub. They have many different types of beers on offer as well as wines, spirits and snack. There was a constant ebb and flow of people with different crowds appearing at different times. Was a great place to sit, enjoy nice drinks and watch the world go by.

After taking a lap around the Noordermarkt, my mouth was watering and we ended up at this inviting café. I loved the décor and how we were able to sit on the second floor and look down on the bar. We were pretty hungry so ordered sandwiches and I was dying to try the appeltaart. It was hard picking from all the delicious sounding sandwiches but I went with the steak that was excellent. You can’t beat the prices either for the quantity that you get! This was my first appeltaart of the trip and left me wanting more and more. It was gooey, nutty, and the dough perfectly flaky. It wasn’t thick like we come to expect from«American apple pie» but that’s what I liked so much about it. The staff was(yet again) so darn friendly! I wish every restaurant worker could come to Amsterdam and learn to be as nice as the Dutch. It really makes a dining experience that much better!
