This is the quintessential «brown café» in the Jordaan. Bartender was very nice and the place was full of characters, a few of whom looked like they were completely out of it, but not making any trouble. Of course, everyone has different tastes, but the music they played was for us very good (and unexpected) for a place like this– Smiths, The Clash, etc. They have several good beers to choose from and a large list of liquors. All in all, a fine place to have a drink… or four… On other nights, they have live music and also «singalong» nights, even for people who can’t sing… a fun place to be!
