Small and cosy dinner with good and tasty food. But portions are small. I left hungry after spending 20 € for breakfast and a cappuccino.

I like the white and calm interior at this place in the Haarlemmerstraat, and the dishes look great, but it’s not my favourite when it enhances flavour. Today I had bread with curry and pickles for lunch. It was ok, but the taste a bit flat. The curry was too sweet in my opinion, and the combination with the pickles didn’t really fit. Thereby the portions could be bigger, for me. I would go here for a coffee, and lunch somewhere else.

It was raining when we arrived and the friendly waitress sat us immediately for breakfast. I had a delightful cappucino with scrambled eggs on toast that was the perfect amount of food, not too filling. Chef tripped and spilled my wife’s poached egg on brioche but not too worry he laughed it off and quickly made her another. Lovely pleasant place worth your time for a light breakfast.

So good! Best scrambled eggs I’ve had all trip, and the smoked salmon I added on top was only $ 1 extra! Delicious!

Great coffee, croissants and sweets. They even have coffee to go which is a major plus. The breakfast is pretty simple but still delicious. Great spot for if you just want a basic warm breakfast.

I’ve been to the other location a couple of times but this was my first time to this location. It’s a bit more gezellig than the other location, with seemingly more seating as well(though I haven’t been upstairs at either location). We had two coffees, the ginger lemon tea(better than the other location I think), a frittata(more like a crustless quiche because it’s so thick, but still awesome) and the chicken curry sandwich(the chicken is cold, give this one a pass). The staff are awesome and the food good. And it’s made of good stuff, so you can feel good about eating it too. Thumbs up.

I really can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Vinnie’s deli yet. It is really my favorite place in the area for both coffee and breakfast. The iced coffee is a particularly nice treat as most places don’t have that. it’s another place where I haven’t been disappointed by anything I’ve ordered. The pancakes with the mint jelly are especially pleasing. If I’m just walking by to grab coffee to go I also get hey croissants or one of their homemade worse. Both are nice quick snacks. The deli salads that they have in the front case I have also been good. Even though I’ve only had two of them. As for the space itself, it is quite small but still cozy if you can get a seat. The staff invoice served me with a smile and been helpful with any recommendations for food. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area. Even if you’re not seems they’ve expanded to another location.

We were in Amsterdam for a week. A group of us struggled to find good restaurants. We came by Vinnie’s Café the last day we were here. What a fabulous place to eat. The poached egg on toast, delicious, the cappuccino(included a heart drawn on the top of the cream) and the fresh fruit(included passion fruit, pairs, grapes, apples, mangos, etc.) was spectacular. We also ordered the yogurt and it was the best we had ever tasted. The bacon smelled incredible. The service was great and the place was cozy. My only complaint, we didn’t find it sooner. Otherwise we would have eaten there every morning before going off and exploring Amsterdam.

I ordered the poached eggs on toast, really yummy! Only«complaint» is that one of my 2 pieces of toast was very small, like the end of a loaf, tiny… not exactly suitable to serve I think. The place was very busy and the we were not waited on for a long time but the staff was friendly… a little frazzled/agitated at times because it was busy I think. All in all, great food, great coffee, great atmosphere — I will be coming back!

Delicious breakfast! Had a big party of 7 people and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. Had the poached eggs and they were cooked perfectly. And loved the orange juice. Definitely one of my favorite places in Amsterdam!

Vinnies is a very small, charming place. It’s got a ny coffee bar meets Amsterdam hipster café style. The interior is painted all white which helps to open up this low-ceilinged cottage and let the artwork shine. It’s decorated with lots of hip vintage furniture and bicycles that are for sale. Everyone was right on for the babaganoush and avocado sandwich. A bit pricey, but it’s very tasty. Has a beautiful touch of olive oil and sprouts. The frittata was good, and quite light, but I’d recommend the sandwich instead. They had some pretty salads and a few desserts at the front that I’d be keen to try next time.

I love Vinnies Deli! It’s a very cute café in the middle or Haarlemmerstraat. Perfect place to have a break during the shopping. All pros: — great coffee — tasty sweets — friendly stuff members — very clean — art displays on sale — quiet I’d like to go there again for sure!

Okay, time to stop my «no phone no review»… :( Fresh, tasty, healthy vegetarian all in. Oh, and they are awarded for their interior. Just go and check out the deco maybe? It is all WHITE. Clean food, white house-ware, white furnishing with a bit woody chairs. Which makes it so light and chic. Their sandwiches are quite unique, if you compare to the rest in Haarlemmerstraat. Quality cottage cheese, fresh avocado(light taste), each ingredients just blossoms. Their salad is also a good detox choice for lunch. All homemade desserts can start your day with their organic coffee.

I am so obsessed with this place, it’s unreal. My friend and I tried the veggie frittata and were blown away by how good the entire dish was. The frittata was flavorful and expertly crafted, the side salad deliciously dressed and the bread phenomenally fluffy. The cappuccino I ordered was lovely and didn’t even need sugar. One of the baristas was so friendly and helpful(not always the case in Amsterdam), he had my friend and I smiling the whole time. What’s more, he sent me home with a homemade vinnies granola bar, on the house! Finally, the ambiance here is so charming. I can’t say enough good things about vinnies.

On the top of my list when it comes to coffee! I stop by to get one whenever I can. Food is all organic and best described as ottolenghi inspired. But don’t worry: they also serve real butter croissants, cheesecake and espresso infused pound cake. Friendly staff that know your name and remember your coffee order. Oh and almost all the furniture in the restaurant can be purchased. Tip: arrive before 9 am for a proper discount on your coffee to go.

Went here twice. A small café with seating on the first and a second floor. Lots of natural light. Seems to be a popular place with the locals. Both times I went there didn’t seem to be too many tourists(like me). This place seems to place an emphasis on organic and fresh food. The first time I had granola, fruit and yogurt and then second time a chickpea and feta salad. Both dishes well prepared and tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A little on the expensive side. Note: this place doesn’t take cash — only debit and credit cards.

My new favorite lunch place. They own their palette, light, fresh, rustic. Everything on the menu is good. Their coffee is very underrated and under looked. Get the avocado open face sandwich. And try just regular coffee with nothing on it, so you can really taste it.

Being from DC, I come from a place where brunch is an institution, to be paired with hours of slowly chowing down on runny eggs and gulping mimosas and bloody marys by the bucketful. This is my next favorite thing. There’s no booze or bacon, but the brioche with salmon and poached eggs under a bed of spinach was to die for. You know what you get sad because you’ve eaten everything on your plate and that moment of happiness and beautiful taste has ended? I would have felt that sooner had I not finished off my boyfriend’s proscuitto and pesto sandwich. And the carrot cake. And a second cappuccino. The service was wonderful, and really, this is the best breakfast I have had in Holland. The cappuccinos were delicious(and so was his fresh orange juice). An A+ and 10 out of 10.
