Meatballs

Love this place! It may not deserve five stars, but the concept is so, so cool, and the wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Choose your meatballs, a sauce, then a vegetable and a starch. Everything was very nicely prepared and quite delicious. Definitely worth a visit when in Amsterdam Centrum.

Well folks, I have just the place for you.
May I introduce, Meatballs! A new-​ish restaurant near the beginning of the famous Warmoesstraat!
Where else can you go and have a convo like this:
Dennis: Goedemiddag, I’d like some balls please.
MB: Well you came to the right place! What kind of balls do you prefer…
Dennis: Ummm… well… I suppose ones that are not too dry… perhaps smooth ones that go down easy?
MB: I have just the balls for you!
Dennis: Right… Umm… ok, but honestly the sauce is very important! What are balls without the accompanying sauce?!
MB: I hear ya! We have all kind of sauces for your balls ranging from spicy to creamy!
Dennis: Wow… you guys really know your balls here!
MB: It’s our job to make sure each of our customers leave with a smile on their balls-​breath face! Oh and don’t forget, for Christmas we have special gingerbread balls! Just like Ms. Santa Clause, you’ll be singing «jingle balls, jingle balls, jingle all the waaaaay!»
Dennis: I love the attention you take to your balls! Well now that I’m drooling for balls, I will order!
So the balls here are pretty tasty and I love the concept of having balls just the way you like them! However, the price for the mixed balls is a little high… If you stick with one type of ball, then it’s pretty cheap, but as soon as you start tasting the rainbow with different balls and different sauces, you pay the price for it. HOWEVER, to balance out the price of balls, they have .75L bottles of booze for 7,50EUR! Not bad for central Amsterdam! And you can get coffee with shots of limoncello??? Perfect to wash down whatever sauce you had from your balls!
In conclusion, if you are wondering around the RLD in search of a sack-​o-​balls to warm your mouth, come check this place out! Afterwards, if you are hungry for more, there are some high class places down Warmoesstraat where you can find lots o’ balls in the heren restrooms fo’ free! Hey, you’re in Amsterdam — time to go balls to the walls man!

Veggie meatballs! Or should I say… veggie «meat“balls. The pumpkin one was really good, haven’t yet tried the other, but I’m grateful that they offered something for veggies, considering the place is based around meatballs. Now that’s thoughtful!
