Trattoria That’s Amore

A small establishment, with seating for 20 – 30 only. We were waited on by the owner and a new girl on her first night, who was fairly useless. Good wine recommendation.
The food was tasty, but not plentiful (I should have ordered a pasta course I guess). But my rabbit entre was cold! (I should have sent it back.) The other two in my party did like their meals as well. Prices were fair. In all, a decent experience, but I would go elsewhere next time.

My new favorite Italian restaurant out here in Amsterdam. For almost half a year I crossed this sweet restaurant and every single time this beautiful name Trattoria Thats Amore caught my attention. So it was about time for me to experience the food over there, and I definitely felt like I was in bella Italia! Quality food, friendly staff and great atmosphere! Definitely will come back!

My favourite local spot — true Italian welcome and delicious food. If you love the Italian ambiance and a good Pizza or Pasta (oh and the wine!) don’t go anywhere else. The team are all wonderful and make you feel at home in true Italian style. This will become your local if you live in the area — must be tried, you won’t want to leave!

I must preface this review by saying that I have a hard time finding Italian places in Amsterdam that I LOVE. You know the ones you go back to again and again to pound some pasta, hard! So when trying That’s Amore for the first time, memories of boring flavorless Italian eateries in Amsterdam come to mind and I’m already setting myself up for failure.

Well folks, I can tell you that it IS in fact Amore as the name of the restaurant suggests! There was a good selection of food so with three of us, we got 5 different dishes to share and they were all Mamma miamazing!
Something as simple as the fluffy bunny tail of a mozzarella ball surprised my mouth when gobs of flavor and juices radiated from the tiny morsel of dairy cloud. I found myself trying to have a conversation with my friends, but dipping the crunchy homemade focaccia into the white liquid silk wrapping our cannelloni filled with spinach and cheese seemed to have more priority. I suppose love makes us all crazy!
I do think it’s a little expensive here so I’m giving a solid 4 stars, but for sure since I work close to here I’ll be back for some more lunch-​love!!!
