This place appears to specialize in open faced sandwiches. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was great, on top of being very fairly priced (for an American tourist). It was literally chunks of steak (not like stir fried steak) on a slice of bread with onions and some salad. It’s filling and a good lunch stop if you happen to be near by (I wouldn’t go out of my way for it). Also their service was friendly and very attentive. Best of all, they had an English menu once they recognized we were tourists (didn’t take long).

This place is always full (outside) at least. My airbnb apt was 50m away and I had passed on it the first night then hit it for drinks every night the rest of the time. Very busy restaurant in an affluent part of Amsterdam. People were dressed up and looked like it was just a popular place to be seen.
The food and drinks were great although I didn’t take any pictures or remember what I had. You don’t think to Unilocal as much when you’re out of the country…
