The Chocolate Company

I was very fond of it, if only to buy very good chocolate. Didn’t come round yet to sit and have a chocolate there, as it’s so close to home. But what I don’t forgive them: they left!!! They’re not there anymore. One day, they were gone and that was it (a paper in the window said they’d go to Central Station, haven’t checked yet). So all your good reviews, however much I’d agree with them, are just obsolete. So sorry!

Hmm, what do I need on a cloudy, rainy, depressed-​like day?
Chocolate! That’s the need this place will meet! Great tasting chocolate in all kinds of flavours with milk/​soja/​almondmilk really lighted up my day! The service is super friendly which made the experience even better.

I was riding by and saw the word «Chocolate» on a shop so I just had to stop! This is a great place with plenty of room and and great spots with café tables inside. If you want eye candy, this is your place. If you want chocolate bonbons, chocolate bars, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate on a stick (for hot chocolate), chocolate cake, a cup of hot chocolate or cold chocolate, visit The Chocolate Company! I can see myself coming by more frequently! Find yourself a spot and relax while sipping or eating chocolate. They even have tap water available at no charge. I had a delicious piece of something that resembled chocolate cake. It was really different kinds of chocolate and slivers of cake, but it was rich, and delicious, and it filled me up! Go and try for yourself!

I love this place!
This is my neighborhood go to coffee place, although I normally go for their unique cocoa tea. In addition, they also have warm chocolate milk made with an adorable wooden spoon of chocolate and you can choose among 20 or so different flavors. You can also have it with a with a variety of either dairy or non-​dairy versions.
They also have a sandwiches, cakes, chocolate fondue, and a chocolate bar for taking away or tasting with your drink.
You really must try it out!

My friend and I walked in at around 5:50 pm, 10 minutes before closing time. At no point we felt that we were not welcome! We had great drinks (chocolate tea and hot chocolat), and a chocolate fondue. So we stayed well after 6pm!
This was my first time here, and my first experience with the Chocolate Company, which is strange, because I am a sucker for chocolate. I can honestly say that this was the best hot chocolate that I ever drank, and from what I was told, the Chocolate Tea was also quite good. They have the teas in different strengths, so i will probably have to go back sometime to try that too.
The chocolate fondue was very good as well. Not too much, and with a lot of fresh fruit (The strawberries were quite good, even though it is January).
The bar itself looks very modern, but also very cosy. In the back there are a few seats that are a bit more private, which is great if you want to have a more private conversation with someone.
All in all: this is definitely a place I’ll be going to more often!

The Chocolate Company has just open on Rijnstraat, lucky for me, it’s just what I needed to get in the mood for winter. A new place where I can relax and drink a nice cup of hot chocolate. I was happy to see a new café open up on the South-​side of Amsterdam. Perfect place to grab a hot cup of chocolate or coffee and stroll along the river. As the temperature begins to drop, I am on the look out for a few nice and cozy spots to warm up in for the winter. I look forward to making a few visits in here with Dutchman on those cold… winter and rainy days.

Yes! I’m so happy! Why? Because The Chocolate Company opened so close to my home! The perfect way to start the fall/​winter is with some hot chocolate, and this is just the spot to go when craving chocolate. TCC has the most delicious chocolate spoons in all kinds of flavors, even ones including liquor like Baileys! Combine this with a piece of chocolate cake or amaretto pie (the pieces are huge btw so great for sharing) and you will be very happy. There is also tea and coffee but I love the spoons just so much! You can also buy sandwich rolls, for lunch in or take-​away. All these deliciousness is also for sale to take home with you! I bought a few of the delicious spoons but the also have all kinds of chocolates in most interesting flavors (think Wasabi!!) and all kinds of chocolate bars. They also sell chocolate gifts, so nice!
The girls here are friendly and the interior of this place is hip and fresh. There are plenty of seats and there is even a terrace. I am sure I’ll be a regular here! :)
