Compared to any other options in NL, or at least in Rivierenbuurt, it is 5-​star. Portions are a bit small, but food is great. We order out or eat in frequently and have only had one bad dish (a chewy steak.) Otherwise, it is often our savior. Wish they were open on Mondays!

The portions are a little small and we spent about € 20 per person, but the food was delicious and the service was great. The salmon sashimi was super fresh and fatty and brought over to our table quickly right after we ordered it. The tempura was nicely fried and not super oily and so was the chicken katsu (although it was the tiniest katsu I’ve seen). Finished everything off with a white sesame ice cream (that I had for the first time) and I left a happy camper. :)

I’m hesitant to review because I don’t want this place to get so crowded I can’t go anymore.
This is a neighborhood gem. The shrimp rolls are awesome and they do many things really well here. We just discovered the fried udon noodle dish and occasionally get it to go. It’s a rather small place and can fill up fast but reservations are easy to make. There is also some outside seating in front on the sidewalk. We take friends here and everyone always seems to like it. The quality is consistent. The prices are reasonable. The only complaint we’ve ever had was the sometimes slow wait service. They seem a bit understaffed some evenings but the problems are few and no worse than many places in Amsterdam.
