‘t Loosje is a lovely café where you can enjoy a slow Sunday while people watching. We sat outside when there was a light drizzle, and it was still beautiful with the view of the canal. The Wrap(that’s the actual name) was surprisingly delicious. It’s composed of avocado, chicken, and other assortments of veggies. The dressing in the Wrap was so spot-on, that I gobbled it right up. I think it was honey mustard mixed with something both sweet and salty. Great combination and so yum.

Food was pretty good. Only downside was the rude bartender that initially started to serve us. And the fact that they charge for hot water… Drinks seem more expensive than the food. So don’t forget to take your free tea with a purchase of a hot water!

Very nice traditional eatery. Great for breakfast. Try oven baked omelet. Espresso is pretty good too.

Bitte gut aufpassen, was auf Eurer Rechnung steht.

This is a gastropub that is conveniently located in Amsterdam’s Old Town. While it is surrounded by several other food establishments that look like they’re only there for the foreigners(you know, all-English menu, burgers and steaks, whatnot), this one had signs that it isn’t a tourist trap, and when we got closer, we saw that there were actual locals patronizing the place. So we went in. We got a table, and ordered. This was lunch, so I got the«Oven», which was an egg dish, baked in nowhere else but an oven, and served with bread. I loved it; it paired well with my green tea. They also had plenty of alcoholic liquids to serve, but I didn’t get any. The only thing I didn’t like here is the fact that the staff somehow couldn’t keep track of their customers. We were waited on after they approached three other tables whose customers sat down after us. Not that we were still looking at the menu, though. Oh, the cat that lounges at the bar near the coffee maker is definitely real.

Made a pit stop here for an early lunch on our first day in ‘Dam and found the ambiance and outside seating to be perfect for people watching. I had a panini thing that was really really tasty, mozzarella and tomato dish. Really good stuff. If you’re here looking foraging for food, this place is perfectly acceptable.
