Perfect location with free wifi and a good amount of seats. The thing is there is always a long line so you will have hard time finding a seat or getting your drink

Got our orders messed up! One person ordered a coffee Macchiato and instead got served a Coffee Mocha. Next person asked for a latte with extra milk and their request wasn’t respected. Place wasn’t that busy, so unsure why the baristas got the orders in correct. Recommend avoiding this one.

Perfect location near dam square. A great place to rest from walking around Amsterdam.

This Starbucks is in a cool location in an old Bank with an iron gate. The inside is quite large with tables and chairs and such, but the service has always been subpar compared to other Starbucks. There are always a ton of employees, because there is usually a long line with this location being so close to Centraal and Dam, but it does not seem to make it any more efficient. I’ve waited for a long time for a very simple drink many times here, despite the large number of employees working. OK if you really really need Starbucks, but otherwise I’d choose a different location or café.

One if the nicest Starbucks in Amsterdam, located just in the main street. Inside you will find an old industrial type look to the place which works vary well.
Lots of comfortable seating and a wide open space makes this place feel welcoming, non imposing and not being hemmed in which you can feel sometimes from a large city such as this.
Typical good standards you would expect from Starbucks, clean environment and friendly staff.
Having reflected upon my review earlier, I now reduce its stat rating from 4 to 2 in the basis that both toilets had a hand written notice on then saying ‘out of order’ and when approaching ‘Zach’ he stated they must be out of order if the sign says and shrugs his shoulders saying they were ok yesterday! And suggested my friend use McDonalds close by! In other words he couldn’t have cared less… And really BOTH toilets one of the busiest day of the weeks and giving people take out cups when sitting in… A pattern of cannot be ars@d is emerging here!!! I now suggest a little quaint coffee shop very close by!

Besoin de se réchauffer dès notre arrivée à Amsterdam, nous nous sommes dirigées vers le Starbuck pour boire un bon chocolat chaud. Le café est grand est très cosy avec des canapés un peu partout, parfais pour commencer la journée. Style entrepôt, des sac de grains et une immense carte des pays producteur de café en toile de jute réchauffe un peu l’endroit.
Mes amies commandent enfin leurs boissons et craquent devant une part de cheesecake (enfin plutôt une triple part !). Mais surprise au moment d’avoir les boissons, elles sont froides. Pas facile de distinguer le chaud du froid sur la carte surtout quand le niveau d’anglais est limité donc pensez à demandé lors de votre commande.
Mis à part ce petit «incident», ce Starbuck ressemble à tous les autres mais vous permettra de vous réchauffer et de vous reposer un peu avant ou après votre découverte d’Amsterdam.

I feel bad leaving a one star review for a Starbucks but this one was ridiculous. I was in a line of about 12 people. There were a solid six Starbucks employees/​partners milling about, possibly more and the line moved slower than a sleeping snail. It was absolutely ridiculous, i think the cashier literally just slapped whatever name she thought suit you on the cups so once drinks were made everyone was still bombarding the baristas with questions if the drink they thought was theirs actually was. My drink order was completely wrong. I order a hot chocolate and received a hot tea. It was so ridiculous watching them pass the blame that I just took the tea and left. The only reason why I am not saying this place deserves zero stars is simply because all of this was going on during the Sinterklaas parade so I am assuming that threw everyone off.

My mother always said if you can’t say anything nice about someone or something than don’t say anything at all. However that would make for a very short Unilocal review, now wouldn’t it? On the plus side it’s a nice space and the couch was comfy. On the down side the colour scheme & lighting is god-​damn-​awful make the place seem shrill and chilly. Being situated on the Damrak, it can not avoid being a tourist-​trap, making it busy and also quite messy and dirty. Also we saw one of the staff placing a full tray of dirty cups, leaking on one the chairs, leaving a nice big chocolate stain for the next customer. The highlight was of course the local wino, who was given free reign to accost customers and touch everything with his dirty hands. This place is a definite no go.

One reason we went to Amsterdam is to get a Starbucks coffee cup :) I live the design, very roomy. The entrance is beautiful.

Get comfy. Order something hot or cold, a snack to munch on and find yourself a cozy spot to settle into for a minute or longer because of course THEY have wifi so you can check messages, email or you can surf the net. This is a nice large and spacious Starbucks situated in an older building on the Damrak with high ceilings, large displays on the walls, room to stretch, rest and catch your breath or to grab your favorite cup of java and run. Starbucks does a good job at staying consistently good around it’s many locations around the world. In my experience this one is larger than most and in a busy tourist area. There is seating outside should you want to watch the world go by as you sip your drink. It’s a busy location so expect to see a lot of people coming and going. It’s also a great place to meet up with people before you embark on your foray into the city at any time in the day or night.

Always love finding a Starbucks when traveling to get the free wifi and some java.

Starbucks opened another location in Dam Square. There’s not much to say about Starbucks that everyone doesn’t already know. My personal favorite Starbucks drink is a flat white and they make a really nice one. The only thing in particular about this specific location is that the layout feels awkward to me. Maybe because the ceilings are sooo high? But when you walk in here I feel unbalanced from a visual interior design point of view? There’s. No real sense of comfort in here except maybe the table lights they placed along the one long bank of seats.
