Perfectly located just by the Albert Cuypstraat tram stop, you can stop by before or after the street market nearby. There’s plenty of comfy seating with plugs(just bring you adapter if you’re from out of town). There’s a free bathroom which is rare to find; even McDonald’s charges! Good drinks and baristas all speak perfect English.

The four stars are not for the coffee, but i really like the barista’s that working here. I work around the corner and somethimes when i have time, of a really really bad morning i run to the Starbucks to get me Some coffee. Sorry i really run, yes i do. Never saw a blonde girl running on the Albert Cuypstreet? No? See that’s how fast I am! If you do see one if I don’t have coffee in my hand, NEVER stop me. If you still want me to stop be, it’s on your own risk hehe But If I do have coffee, your free to say hi! ;) duh. And every time when i walk away with my coffee in my hand, I am a little surprised. The first thing that always pops up is: these barista’s are nice! Not just Nice really nice! Its weird, because thats just a normal standard. I like. Oh, and the coffee is offcourse okay too. Update: They changed staff :(NOOOOOOO! The new ones are nice but not THAT nice :(. No I do actually have to say what I want, normally showing up was already enough.

This is the newest addition to the Starbucks family in Amsterdam. It sure is a great place since this corner on the Ferdinand Bolstraat/Gerard Doustraat is a lively place, at least during the day with the busy Albert Cuyp market around the corner. I’m sure they will do good business here, also with the tram stop right in front of them and of course the Heineken experience nearby. A lot of people are complaining about the chain stores and coffeeshops that are coming to the Pijp lately. Well, I live in the pijp and I say everybody should stop whining. Places like this Starbucks make the pijp lively and gezellig. And it is not like there are so many. This is the only Starbucks in the whole pijp and rivierenbuurt for example. So is it really that bad? No it is not. There are still so much little shops and small cafes left. This Starbucks is nice. The interior is stylish and there are big windows. There is a long couch and lots of tables. It is a good place for take-away as well. Unfortunately there is no sink where you can get some water. People working there were friendly. They close at 20.00 in the evening, quite early, but I understand since it is almost empty then(which is nice when you want a drink in peace and chat with a friend between 18.30−20.00 when all the Coffee Company’s have closed already.
