This café has many personalities. During the week it can be a good place to have a quick lunch, during the rest of the day it’s just a quiet place to maybe get some studying done. Now, on evenings,(especially Friday evenings), expect your typical dutch borrels, which can be great if you work around that location. Best street in Amsterdam in my opinion(the main one, not the canal). The staff is friendly, the cappuccino was really good and the food portions can actually be generous(if compared to similar places). My final 2 notes go for: — the background music(too repetitive, mix things up: P) — the Wi-fi, it’s free but you have to follow them on Facebook. really, on Facebook? I can understand Unilocal, but Facebook is a no-no :)

My husband and I came here while on vacation in Amsterdam. We happened upon this place on a Saturday evening. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bartender. She sat us at a table and handed us both menus(which are in both Dutch and English). There was an upstairs, but there were still a few tables downstairs that were available when we arrived at about 7:30pm. I had the lamb, and my husband had their burger. Both were fantastic. You can also have a glass of wine for 3.80 euros, which I thought was great! The main courses were a bit on the high side for what I was used to Ireland(lamb was 19.50, and hamburger was 15 euros). However, the food was amazing. I’m very happy we happened upon this place.
