Good atmosphere and friendly waiters as mentioned in previous reviews, but the food was a bit so-​so. The ribs are quite good, if the BBQ sauce is a little sweet, but the portion is big. The fish from the fish and chips was clearly frozen fish and had a mushy consistency. The calamari rings are the greasy fake ones straight from the freezer too. It’s a little insulting as the menu describes them as ‘lightly battered’. If you’re gonna do something that a lot of people are doing these days, and charge modern Amsterdam prices, do it right

Great service, great food.
The food was amazing. We had a little bit of everything with the dish «highway to heaven»: spare ribs, small hamburger, and some marinated chicken. It was «amazeballs» (Astrid dixit). We also had two glasses of wine and two pints of beer, fries and nachos. (Total: 53 €).
There were two waiters, both of them were very nice. I felt like fist-​bumping them after the meal. My girlfriend and I laughed with both and chatted about ourselves with one of them.
We’ll definitely come back for more next time we’re back in Amsterdam (A’dam for the cool people).

The BEST ribs I’ve ever had in my life — and this is coming from an American. This place made our trip to Amsterdam worth it. Friendly staff, and we met Bibi who is freaking awesome. We will definitely be back and I recommend Snappers to anyone who visits Amsterdam!

I will have to update this, but I went twice in the 3 days I was in Amsterdam. It such a San Diego vibe. Creative, great drinks, great service, and just unique in many ways.

Recently visited Amsterdam on a Hen Party with 13 other girls. A girl came across Snappers online and managed to get a table reservation for us all at 8pm on a Thursday evening. The place was full and the atmosphere was fantastic. We was taken to our table upstairs and the waiter took our drinks order and was back within minutes and remembered almost what each of us has order (I love things like that!) then our food was ordered, to say the restaurant was absolutely heaving and being such a large table, we did expect a huge wait for our meals but we wasn’t waiting now long at all. It all came at the same time with nothing missing. I ordered the Spinach Ravioli stuffed with Beetroot & Ricotta (just typing that makes my mouth water) it was the freshest pasta I’ve ever had, jam packed with flavour & the pasta was cooked perfectly. The majority of the girls had burgers and they couldn’t stop raving about how good they were all weekend too. I’m hoping to head back to Amsterdam at some point and I will definitely be headings to Snappers for dinner! Highly recommend anyone visiting Amsterdam scouts this place out!

I had a great evening here with my friend. We loved the cosy atmosphere and the waiters were really kind. I will definitely go back to taste those great cocktails they were preparing!

We were sat by the door which didn’t close properly. With each person who walked in and out, the door was left partially open and caused a cold breeze to come in all evening. I was getting up every few minutes to shut the door which was annoying. My friend had asked about sitting somewhere else but was told that they couldn’t based on the fact it was a fully booked night. This seemed a little odd, however, as the restaurant was not full yet and there were other tables we could have sat at.
We ordered a burger, the ribs and a side of chips. The food was fine and the service was friendly. I’m not sure Snappers is offering anything particularly new to the Amsterdam bar and food scene, but it was a generally enjoyable experience. Nothing to rave on about but nothing offensive either.

When I came in, I immediately tripped. So watch your step. Too bad this was a first date, so I made quite an impression from the get go.
That said: lovely place! They serve a wide variety of Caribbean dishes. Seafood, burgers, chicken and what not.
I’m a sucker for burgers, so I ordered the Mexican. The paddy was a bit too big and had been in the oven a minute too long. Aside from that: damn tasty burger. Recommended!
The steak came with a massive amount of vegetables drowned in a sauce that didn’t really add something. That could use some improvement, so I was told.
We had some cocktails and sat there talking for hours. The staff checked up on us every once in a while, in a very polite and non-​pushy way. Just great.
I would say a 4,5 star rating.

To die for food, highly suggest the spare-​ribs and wonderful cocktails! Service was polite but could improve a bit on efficiency.

The server was very friendly and service was quick. I don’t think I’ll be going back though, as the food wasn’t good.
