This place isn’t particularly close to my home, but I’m here once at least every two weeks to pick up a boat load of eggs as you can get 30 packs of large eggs for 3.25 euro. Despite the fact that I’m drawn here for the cheap and high quality eggs, I usually end up buying produce which is consistently good quality and value, and peruse the spice and beans displays. The staff is also super friendly, which is not necessary, but is quite nice.

One of the things that I love the most about living in Amsterdam, I get to shop at countless different markets, it’s a culinary heaven. Whether it’s an ethnic market, super market, biological market or street market. For me, I consider it one of the best places for shopping for herbs, seasonings, fresh produce, meat and other goods. One can indulge in their culinary skills right here. I stroll up in this Turkish market from time to time when I am dropping off my unwanted items at the consignment shop next door. The customer service here is good, which makes me even more open to coming back again, that is when I am on the block of Van Woustraat. It’s so nice when you have the option to shop between several different supermarkets, street markets, Turkish, Moroccan or any other ethnic market in Amsterdam. I use to feel frustrated shopping in Amsterdam, until I open my eyes a little wider and realize that I actually had plenty of places to shop when it came to finding plenty of herbs, seasonings produce and creating wonderful meals. I no longer miss the big supermarket chains in the United States, where you are overwhelmed with 70 percent of processed foods in the store.
