The food was yummy. I had the zucchini /courgette blossoms. Friend had«Fish of the day», which was dutch shrimp, and another friend had the salmon. The food and price was ok, but our waiter had a lot of attitude. He described the soup of the day and the«fish of the day» when we sat down and let us decide. My friend said he was getting the fish of the day. I told him I don’t think there’s fish, my friend says«I think he said it was on top.» So when our waiter comes by, we ask him what was on top of the fish of the day. His words exactly«I told you already, it is coral.» First, it’s not CORAL on top… we are not parrotfish, we don’t eat coral. It was a form of kelp(I looked it up: samphire or glasswort). Secondly, if we ask again(politely), does it hurt to repeat it? To continue, we say«oh sorry, but what type of fish is in the dish?» Waiter«Like I said, shrimp.» We all look a little confused… and say jokingly«ohh, hehe, so the fish of the day is … shrimp.» smile. Waiter looks at us like we are idiots. The waiter was completely rude, and when we left, he didn’t even come to our table to give the bill and get our jackets, or to ask if we liked the food. Another waiter came. I thought our waiter was busy, but no, he was standing next to our table, by the wine bar, pretending like he didn’t see us… just standing there. I would like to add, I’ve been living in this country for 2+ years, I’m used to «dutch» service, so this is not a cultural thing. Also, my friend is a true dutch man and he also thought our waiter was rude(and claimed our waiter is not dutch). We were in good spirits coming in, that douche really put a damper. But not enough to ruin our night. No one has the power to do that except ourselves :) Would have been 4 stars if it weren’t for that douche :)

We were late for our reservation but they had plenty of tables on a Thursday night. The«fish of the day» was Dutch shrimp with sea coral(I.e. Seaweed) and the waiter with glasses got mad at us when we kept asking what the fish was and when we pointed out that shrimp was not a fish so that’s why we kept asking(we were dining with a native Dutch). That waiter got mad so they switched and the other waiter was really nice. I had miso«glaze» salmon with black garlic. I didn’t see any black garlic. The miso glaze looked like clumpy peanut sauce that painted my salmon brown. The taste was two dimensional. The fig salad appetizer was too hot. I probably would not come back.

Our first night in Amsterdam, my wife and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. It began to rain serendipitous drops down on us at the opportune moment when we were passing Seasons. It was just a few minutes before their«Early Bird» two-for-one entrée special ended and we decided to partake. My wife had the«Inside Out» Beef Wellington and I opted for the Chicken Tikka Masala. BOTH dishes were AWESOME!!! I was pumped to stumble on such a good meal. And the«Special» price was the RIGHT price for us. Don’t even think twice — Go! Now!

Two people for dinner. We were late coming to the restaurant and also stayed a little after closing hours. The staff didn’t mind however and they were very friendly throughout our visit. We took a three course meal which was truly excellent. Definitely one of the meal highlights of our visit to Amsterdam. Strong recommendation!

Nice place and off the beaten track, as someone else commented. Good service. The meal was WAY too heavy for us and, therefore, expensive for what we ate, because we didn’t eat much: potatoes, a few amperage, some egg salad type stuff = $ 30. The water was fine; my girl left half of her beer. If you already like Dutch food, you’ll be fine here.

Came here two out of the three nights we were here. The food was excellent on both occasions. The two course meal was great value for money and the quality of the produce was excellent. Had the cornish chicken and the scallops. Will definitely come back. Tip: Sit by the window, next to the flower arrangement.

We chose this spectacular restaurant from a quick Unilocal search, and I am so glad we did! The atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday afternoon in the city. It was laid back and peaceful, on a little side street, away from the hustle and bustle of a typical metropolitan spot, while still close enough to walk to the train station and busier downtown areas. The inside is beautifully decorated — I loved everything down to the water glasses. Our waiter was charming and helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The food… Oh the food. Everything we ordered was out of this world! The steak panini was by far the best sandwich I have ever had in my life. No exaggeration. The salad was perfect… The Fire Shrimp and the Duck sandwich… just, everything was so delicious. I can’t say enough about this restaurant. We had the best weekend in Holland, and this was the highlight. I can’t wait to go back!

We were greeted by a darling, well behaved cocker spaniel and our waitress. Before six they offered a two for one 2 course menu. We would have eaten there without the deal. We began with the asparagus cooked with prosciutto and a perfectly poached egg and fresh figs stuffed with goat cheese and also wrapped in prosciutto. Delicious! Our second course was just as delicious! Unfortunately had no room for dessert!

We loved our experience here while visiting Amsterdam! Everything was so delicious. I ordered the pumpkin risotto and it was easily the best risotto I’ve ever had. A beautiful, warm spot to get a delicious meal!

Great service and wonderful French food! The wine selections were excellent(and so much less expensive than in the US!). We made reservations, but found they weren’t needed at the time of year we visited and middle of the week — I imagine they are needed during the main tourist season and on weekends. My husband had the Pea Soup starter and said it had a great smokey flavor. My Scallops 3-ways was perfect. For dinner we both had the cassoulet — all I can say is mmmmmmmmmm! You can order ala carte, but Seasons also offers a 2-course and 3-course prix fixe option that is worth taking advantage of.

I live near Seasons and am a regular. I particularly enjoy their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Everything is festive and the food is amazing. Even when its not the holidays, the staff at Seasons is always welcoming and the food amazing.

I had made reservations for the prix fixe menu here which is basically a 2 course meal(appetizer/entrée or entrée/dessert) that you buy one, get one free. All I have to say is that I am so happy we didn’t pay full price for this sub-par meal. The a la carte prices were not cheap and the food was not good. My boyfriend and I shared: Fire Shrimp(garlic shrimp, basil mashed potatoes, creamy sambal sauce, croûton) Deconstructed Caesar Salad(a crisp romaine lettuce salad with anchovy dressing, slices of fresh Parmesan, crispy bacon, and garlic croutons with your choice of a carpaccio of craved lax) Summer Pasta with Blistered Cherry Tomatoes(fresh summer vegetables, cherry tomatoes, garlic, with curly pasta and Parmesan) Bistro Steak and Onion Rings pan-seared fillet steaks a bistro sauce of peppercorns and mustard with buttermilk onion rings) Everything was extremely bland. The«fire shrimp» was 3 pieces of shrimp with a side of a dipping sauce. Seeing the anchovies on my plate of salad was just too much, even for a foodie like me. Kraft makes better pasta. The steak I didn’t even both trying. Needless to say we did not bother getting dessert here.

What a great restaurant! Really cozy place with fantastic food. I took a 3 course meal for 34 €. There is a wide variety to choose. For the starters you can have soup, delicious salads and creative dishes! I took figues with goat cheese a honey sauce and Spanish jam. As second course I took grilled tuna, amazingly fresh. You can also choose, lamb, chicken, beef… And to conclude with a delicious dessert of ice cream with banana and cinnamon cream. If you like good Mediterranean food i definitely recommend this place.

Thank you fellow Unilocalers. You did not steer me wrong on this place. Very fresh, seasonal, delicious food expertly prepared. Within a short walk from Renaissance hotel on Kattengat. Seasons restaurant is down a small street with a few other small restaurants and shops. Look closely for the small oval sign hanging over the front door. Highly recommend the scallops three ways and use the bread to sop up the delicious sauces– garlic, pistachio and pesto. Also recommend the salmon with glaze and mango coleslaw. Save room for the rich and flavorful salted caramel pudding. Wines by the glass and house wines tasty and decently priced. They have several tables for 2 to 4 people outside on the sidewalk which I recommend over the warmer interior especially this past month of hot weather in Northern Europe. Service was 5 out of 5 by a very friendly and competent waitress who knew and could describe all the dishes. Will definitely return with my business colleagues and friends on my next business trip.

Great restaurant in a nice area of Amsterdam. Casual atmosphere, high quality and imaginative food. Small neighborhood place on a quiet small street away from the hustle and bustle. Nice size Steak, cooked perfectly, onion rings for my main course and an asparagus, onion and goat cheese puff pastry tart as an appetizer. The tart was fantastic. Garnished with pomegranate seeds. So good. My husband had the shrimp noodle dish. He loved it. He also had the deconstructed Caesar salad which he loved. Nice bottle of French Chardonnay and we were happy. Prices were reasonable.

This delicious restaurant is located on the cozy Herenstraat, and there are a number of cool ships in the area. They serve seasonal dishes cooked with fresh and delicious ingredients. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. Food: 4⁄5 I highly recommend the scallops 3 ways: pesto, garlic and pistachio, it was super delicious and we really enjoyed it. The sauces were very original and flavorful, and I thought the garlic paired really well with the scallops. One of my friends had the beef carpaccio and also liked it. My friends had the surf & turf and chicken tiki masala. Those dishes looked really good, and their steak was cooked perfectly as requested. I ordered the asparagus flamande and regretted it. The vegetables were very fresh, but it wasn’t as filling. We ordered tea and coffee and it came with a yummy morsel — passion fruit mousse. The sourness of the fruit balanced the sweetness of the mousse and it was a match made in heaven. Overall, delicious food made with seasonal ingredients. Service: 5⁄5 It has been a very long time since I’ve had service that met my American standard, and this was amazing service that surpassed that! The staff checked on us several times, answered all our questions, and even *gasp* asked us how our meal was!!! Atmosphere: 4⁄5 It is a small homey restaurant and it does get a lot of tourist traffic, but there are obvious regulars here. A very intimate restaurant, great for meeting and bonding with friends or a lovely dinner with a special someone. Value: 5⁄5 We came here early and took advantage of the 2 for 1 special. Go to their website for more details, but if you make a reservation for the late afternoon 2 people can enjoy the 2 course menu(28 euros) and only pay the price of 1.(Buy 1 get 1 free), so it comes out to 14 euros!!! SUPERGOEDKOOP!!!

Would recommend highly if looking for somewhere to eat that has excellent food(I could have eaten anything off the menu) at reasonable prices. Staff were excellent and friendly. Unlike other reviews here, it wasn’t at all busy we 5 of us went 2 nights running(it was the menu again!) but that was about 9pm.
