Cooler Laden. In angenehmer Atmosphäre haben wir zum einen einen hervorragender Flat White und einen Clever Drip genossen. Beides wurde sehr fachmännisch zubereitet. Ein wenig teuer — aber lecker.

This is the first real coffee shop we’ve come across in our five days in Amsterdam. These ladies know their coffee and everything about the various methods for preparing and subsequent impact on the flavor experience. They were able to communicate all that in a way that we could easily grasp and make the appropriate choice. We highly recommend this place.

One of the best cappuccino in Amsterdam. And I’m a big cappuccino drinker. Go there and if it’s too busy take it to go and take a stroll in this lovely neighborhood of Amsterdam, who knows where your steps might take you? :)

Netter Kaffeladen being dem der Kaffeegenuss im Vordergrund steht. Der Kaffee ist super und alles wirkt durchaus hip. Die Baristas waren sehr freundlich. Lecker.

This is how an espresso transaction is supposed to go at 9:30 on a weekday in a café that has only two customers who already have their coffees:
Customer: May I have an espresso, please?
Server: Yes, that will be € X…
Customer: (pays)
Server (after pause of a minute or so): Here is your espresso.
Customer: Bedankt!
Simple, isn’t it? You pay some money for water at the right temperature and pressure to be pushed through a coffee of the right type and grind. The resulting liquid paints your palate for the next hour or so, putting you in a mild state of caffeinated bliss.
Don’t let the beautiful espresso machine at this location fool you. I’m sure you can get a good pour-​over here — if you prefer all the extra psychoactives that come along with that method. If espresso is your thing, look elsewhere, unless you have the time for them to turn on the beautiful machine and wait for it to warm up… at 9:30 on a weekday…

Wow! What’s in this coffee? Maybe I’m just sensitive to caffeine this morning but the buzz I’m getting from Mitch is stronger than usual. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice. I ordered a soy flat white, possibly a double shot. The flavor of the coffee coming through the soy milk was very nice. Easy to drink down on my morning walk.
I do like the set up of this new location. It seems very inviting coming in the front door with the big window to the street. Watch your step though! In the back of the place there was what looked like old reclaimed wood for the walls contrasting the new furniture that is there. It looks elegant, although you can see the back kitchen which contrasts a little. The girl helping in the morning was very sweet and gave suggestions of what to order since I was unsure of the time. Nice to have a Nother coffee shop in the neighborhood. well, not coffee shop, but you know what I mean.
