If you like Japanese-influenced tattoos, this is the place for you. I have to say my experience here was one of the best when it comes to body ink. Richard, the owner, was professional, timely, organized and made me feel at ease from the moment I met him. We initially corresponded via email. He was very timely about replying and was very accommodating. I scheduled in advance for my appointment. He does have a wait for about a month, so plan ahead. I came in here this past week and we chatted for about 15 minutes. I basically told him what I wanted, and afterwards, let him have free rein to design the artwork. I really like when artists take my ideas and meld their style into it. It creates a fantastic piece of artwork. When I came for my session, I met Richard at the door and he was all ready to go! He got to work immediately and was very focused on the artwork. He also made me very comfortable and his employees were also very nice and chatty. I learnt that tattoos aren’t as taboo as I thought, and that more than a 100 years ago, kings and the elite also had tattoos. Very cool history lesson. I was also told about Gabber dancers. Four and a half hours later, I come out alive. I won’t lie, it was painful, but so well worth it. I always tell myself this is the last time and then I find another great artist! I highly suggest this place if you’re looking for a Japanese style tattoo. Richard was really good, and I’ll definitely be back to have him work on more pieces. BTW, this place is also right in the middle of Chinatown. So after getting inked, you can find a nice, good and cheap place to refuel and heal!
