You can never go wrong having dinner here or just drinks. It’s typically Amsterdam, with all kinds of people visiting and a no nonsense (Amsterdam) attitude. They serve a great Captain’s dinner (order the middle size one, totally big enough). Ideal to combine with seeing a movie at The Movies and actually better than the restaurant they have over there.

I do hope this place is still around. I started going there on trips to Amsterdam long before Unilocal.It was just an incredible cozy Eetcafe with very generous hosts and great service. I took many friends there and they all said «thanks, we would have never discovered it».

Eetcafe Rosereijn is a great place to have dinner or a lunch in Amsterdam. Tough it is near the train station, it has a cozy atmosphere. There were a few tourists when we had dinner but it still felt like a locals hang out spot. The décor is very brauncafe with lots of wood and paneling. Food was delicious and hosts very nice. I would recommend it to anyone out on a stroll through Jordaan neighborhood.
