Came here for drinks on a busy Saturday night. Servers were nice and friendly, a big plus! The clientele is a type of crowd different from what I might normally choose.

The restaurant has a nice looking bar with tall barstools as you walk in. We were lead to the back to a larger area because we had a large party. I love the colours they chose to decorate the restaurant with being festive. The staff was friendly as we were seated at a large table. We started with nachos as kind of an appetizer. There were two kinds. One had chorizo. The other is vegetarian. As nachos go I give them a 5. They weren’t great but they still were eaten rather quickly. I’m guessing that everyone was hungry. I’d also ordered a frozen margarita which wasn’t all that bad. Several of us ordered the rib eye steak. I ordered mine medium rare which the waitress laughingly repeated. When the steaks arrived they were of differing sizes and all were done medium to well. It was a tough piece of meat. We sent a few back though some were so hungry they ate it anyway. Two of our party asked for another steak. When they arrived they were slightly better. I asked for a replacement of the jerk chicken for the steak I’d ordered. Fortunately, they complied. One of our party had recommended it earlier. He’d also been here prior and liked it. Hence, our coming here for dinner. The chicken was much better than the steak. It’s a good thing I asked for it. The management apologized for the miscooked food and offered a shot of Columbian liquor or a glass of wine to try to appease us. Actually, everyone ended up getting the shot of liquor. Some of the food looked great on the menu. Unfortunately, I’d not ordered any of it. I’ll have to go back and try some other dishes. They’re also dog friendly.

This was a total disappointment, the food was not properly seasoned, the food took to long and the chicken was under cooked and not Jerk chicken at all. The burrito was to big and filled with onions not veggies, covered with cheese to masks the lack of taste and flavor. The ribs were at least properly cooked but lacked real flavor. The starter dish was okay but covered in melted cheese. This restaurant has the worst staff as they spend more time socializing in the streets with there other friends and bar/club owners, also if you are not a regular of the area you don’t get the same treatment as other just passing through. I wouldn’t go back to eat but others seem to enjoy the scenery of gay bars are cross dressers frequenting the street and restaurants. There are other better selections for food directly across the street and nearby. The food is overpriced and the drinks are not that good either.

This place caught our eye because of the Caribbean food in the window. Outdoor seating is available in the warmer months. The menu is huge! So are the portions. I had the jerk chicken and rib combo. So good. It comes with rice, plantains, and beans. The chicken was moist and the ribs wonderful! The appetizer menu has plenty but you better be very hungry if you get one! Great spot!

When we visit Amsterdam, we always make sure to try a new cuisine. While walking through this area, the«Mexican, Caribbean, Colombian» sign caught our eye so we opted to give it a try. The staff greeted us promptly and courteously and invited us to select any table outside. We opted for one near the street which affords incredible people watching opportunities on this busy street. We both started with a cocktail and empanadas. The cocktails were a bit pricy but generous. The empanadas were great. They were crunchy and flavorful but not overdone. They were accompanied by a delicious hot salsa. I ordered a dish similar to a Mexican lasagna. Layers of tortilla, cheese, chili, and meat made this dish a slam dunk. The portion was very generous. My partner ordered the jerk chicken which was fall off the bone perfect and seasoned perfectly. I would definitely suggest this place for anyone looking to try something fun in Amsterdam.
