I would give this restaurant one star, however I will not do so solely because the staff was very friendly. I ordered the salami plate as an appetizer which was quite mediocre. Unfortunately, I also ordered the «black Angus sirloin steak». The steak I received was a slab of tough fat drenched in balsamic. This steak is single handedly the worst steak I have ever had. It was over cooked, flavorless and 95% fat. When I spoke to the chef, he said that is how all their steaks are. If you are looking for a highly sub par meal at an extravagant price do come here. If not, take your money somewhere else. I think this place aims to sacrifice on quality because many of their guests are tourists.

I came in at 10:45pm (15 minutes to close) but host said he would love to seat me anyway. I ordered the Veale with white truffle oil over spinach, which was perhaps the best italian dish I’ve had in Amsterdam so far.
The food was incredibly fresh and packed with taste. My plate was a bit over-​oiled and slightly too salty, but only VERY VERY slightly (just over-​critiquing here). Compared to other restaurants I’ve been at, it completely blew everything else out of the water.
Wait staff was incredibly nice (even to a late walk-​in) and multilingual. Price was very reasonable and atmosphere was soft and intimate, though each table had plenty of distance from the next.
Will be back here next time I’m in the area!

nice trust-​worth italian restaurant which does not disappoint you. No need to reserve in advance, as they have plenty of room. Great service and a selection of wines to add.

My wife’s three pasta entrée was only one third good. My minestrone was mediocre. The lasagna was excellent. Service was erratic and we were charged for a prosecco we sent back. Not a very good value at the price point either.

Good food, but unfortunately small portions. Relatively big prices. Nice staff, although they did not give me much attention after all. Nice environment with a good garden for hotter days.

Recommended by the concierge at our hotel. The service was spectacular and the meal was wonderful. We had the antipasto plate to start. For the main course my wife and son had pasta dishes and I had the sea bass. We were all very pleased with our meals. Happy to endorse Campo do Fiori.

We travel to Amsterdam often, as my wife is Dutch, and we stumbled into Campo de Fiori when the restaurant we were originally seeking was closed. We were very impressed with the intimate and detailed décor, creating an inviting dining experience. The food was outstanding, and very well presented. Staff is friendly, and speak multiple languages, making it easy on the linguistically challenged.

This place was wonderful. I was traveling on business, so my budget was a bit higher than usual, but the food was absolutely delicious. I had the truffle tortellini, which was absolutely delicious. The wines by the glass are also reasonable and good quality (I tried both the Chianti Classico and the Montepulciano). I was here alone (again… By myself on a business trip), but I would bring my husband here on a date night in a heart beat. Highly recommended!

Wonderful restaurant. Great Italian menu. Reasonable upper mid-​range prices. Very friendly if somewhat slow service. Not much of a wine-​list but offers enough for most tastes. The food was simply delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Highly recommended. Will add photos later.
