This restaurant is one of our favorite Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. They serve think base pizzas and that is also one of the reason I love their pizzas. Also please try their warm bread with garlic butter. As we both are vegetarian that is why we try to taste most of the vegetarian dishes and my favorite are ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta in butter sauce. I also like zucchini pizza. Please do not forget to end your evening with delicious tiramisu cake.

We had the lasangna, green salad, pesto pasta, wine. The owners were super friendly. We were there on a Tuesday so it was dead but the food was excellent. Don’t expect Olive Garden, this is much more authentic Italian. Can’t go wrong at this place.

We were in the Jordaan checking out the two markets and hoping to grab something to eat there, but then we decided that we really needed a real lunch. So what do I do? Open Unilocal of course! We check out the area and my husband sees this Italian place, so we just HAVE to go. When you walk in, the smell lets you know that you picked a good place. We were immediately seen and seated. We were also given English menus to find our lunch. The .5 liter of wine seems a tiny bit steep, but it was good wine… a light Merlot. And we each got a pizza. I’m sure I’ve never had crust like that before. It was so light and airy! It was just perfect. Not thin and not very think, so soft, like fresh bread should be. The tomato base was very good and had just the right amount. And they covered the whole pizza with cheese! Not everywhere does that, but I certainly appreciated it. The pizza is a fairly good size, but we managed to each finish our own. We will return!

One word: RUDE. A girl friend and I walked in to watch a World Cup game, which the place was showing, and we noticed that only 2 out of many more tables were occupied. The host asked if we wanted to eat dinner or just have drinks. We said just drinks, we were just going to watch the game — again, the place was nearly empty and it was showing the game. Before we were done speaking, the host had started a tirade about how«this is a restaurant! People come here to eat!» and just as quickly we turned our backs and made our way out of the joint. The host followed us to the door as he continued his rude rant and kept it up until we walked into the place across the street.

Found it through Unilocal on our way to Anne Frank house. Excellent Caprese and Magherita Pizza. Very good service as well. Love the location.

Mhhhhhh…

This place was our second or third choice when walking around the area — other places were full. Still, we were seated quickly, the service was exceedingly friendly — English was not a problem. It’s a pretty basic menu along the pizzeria theme, but that was exactly what we wanted. I had the calzone, and it arrived steaming hot and delicious. The wine and drinks were superb. Highly recommended. I’d give it five stars but my companion wasn’t quite as impressed, although they still enjoyed it as well. Really, it was a simple, but very well done experience. But it’s not the place to go if you are looking for a romantic posh evening.

I’ve been here several times and always enjoyed it. The pizzas are good and my friend enjoyed his truffle/pumpkin ravioli(an evenings special). The calamari was good though slightly pricey. Friends visiting from America found the portions a bit small. It’s a large place so getting a table is usually pretty easy. That makes it a good«plan B“spot if you are in the neighborhood.

In a city flooded with Italian restaurants that serve almost the same menu everywhere, what makes a restaurant stand out is friendly attitudes, great service, and a great location. Capri is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood to get a good meal and indulge in a good dinner conversation with company. During the summer months, it’s always a great idea to find a table outside, while during the colder months, you could enjoy watching passers by from the huge windows. I never miss the opportunity to get a pizza while I am here. In recent times, the quality has definitely gone up and it now compares very favorably with the best pizza spots around town. The wine selection is decent, and the Tiramisu is apparently home-made. Menu advice: Start with the bread + garlic butter, follow it up with almost any pizza pie, and then the tiramisu as the grand finalé. You’re sure to come back!

We had very nice pasta and pizza here. The atmosphere is neighborhood Italian:(I’m going to make a NYC reference here, so New Yawkuhs, you’ll understand) it ain’t Puglia, not a big, blustering family-style institution, but it’s well-prepared food with a business-like attitude to its clientele. Nothing romantic or charming about it, no candles in chianti bottles or red checked table clothes. It feels Dutch but tastes Neapolitan if you know what I mean. You won’t be blown away, but you won’t be stricken either. Capri was fine, thanks. If like us you’re staying in the buurt and want something familiar and plausible, this is a good choice. I wish Unilocal allowed 3.5 stars. That is what it deserves
