I enjoyed lunch. All I could eat prawns, my wife had a steak w/​a delicious pepper sauce. Had a cider or two, it was nice. Service was good. I’ll probably be back.

Bei meinem ersten Besuch habe ich dort ein so leckeres Bier getrunken, so dass ich unbedingt noch einmal dorthin musste. Die Bierkarte ist sehr umfangreich und sicherlich sind die Biere nicht alle nach dem deutschen Reinheitsgebot gebraut, aber das störte mich nicht wirklich. Am nächsten Tag ging ich mit meiner Famile noch einmal in das Bistro. Wir wollten zu viert eine «Bitterballengarnitur» essen, zuerst hies es, dass diese aus sei, dann war es jedoch doch möglich. Zu meiner wortwörtlichen «Kaltschale» schmeckten die typisch holländischen Snacks super und auch meine sonst doch eher schäubische Familie fand Geschmack daran.

Don’t know why it didn’t show up under «restaurants near me» but this place is super cute! I asked if I could eat outside since no one was out there and the staff were very friendly. They came to take my order right away. The menu looks fantastic, kind of a high end deli with avocado mouse and an assortment of flavored aioli’s. I will be back to try more of the menu. Inside is warm and cozy. Lots of wood!

Great location. Service was pretty good. Their salads are really good. Their steak was cooked perfectly, they just need to sear their steaks first before putting them in the oven. They also had a pretty good selection of cakes and pies. Will come back.

Nur zwei Servicekräfte in der Mittagszeit in einem vollbesetzten Restaurant. Das geht garnicht. Über eine Stunde gewartet.

I went back the next day to warn them that they had some bad fish (it was the salmon)…I didn’t go out of my way to go back, but I was passing by and I thought it was the right thing to do; in case they were still serving the same fish.
I know the food poisoning was from them, as everything else I ate that day, I shared. I was the only one who ate the salmon, and I was the only one that day who got sick.
WELL. They didn’t care that I had food poisoning. And one of the waiters accused me of trying to ruin his livelihood?! I told him that just like he probably didn’t mean to ruin my health, my intention was not to ruin his livelihood. I might mention that I left the restaurant quickly after it was obvious they weren’t going to even pretend to check the food they served (they just kept saying ‘we’ll show you the kitchen’…) and the waiter chased after me and confronted me as I waited at the corner cross walk. Classy.
I wish I hadn’t gone back to warn them. They obviously don’t value their customer’s health, and would rather continue serving bad food; and learning that made me feel even sicker.
