Amsterdam Zeedijk area has a big choice of different oriental supermarkets. This one is not too big, but it has quite a good selection of different chinese, taiwanese, japanese and thai products. The prices are good (little bit lower than in another popular asian supermarket) and there is always a promotion for some articles.

This time you’ll need a few hours to look around, read productlabels and smell the scent of «holidays». Their assortment is huge and varies by country. Also they have fresh herbs and vegetables. When your body is larger than average… I’m truly sorry but don’t try to shop in there… Only when you are good insured…

I love this Asian took at the Nieuwmarkt. Recently I went here for this first time and I wondered why I never went inside earlier. It is great! They have everything you need if your cooking anything Asian. I also love the candy and the snacks! They also have cute Bento boxes! :D
What I did not expect is that you can even by with a pin card. Most places like this only accept cash, so that was nice. Prices here are good as well, cheap even if you compare them to other places where I sometimes get my stuff. The staff is also friendly.

Cramped. Chaotic. Crowded. Love it!
It’s a place you either avoid like the plague or you embraced as the floor space is limited and thus it’s really difficult to maneuver through the packed aisles. They do carry more products from Singapore and that’s the reason for my visit, but also because it reminds me of the old provision shops back home.

This grocery has pretty much any fresh, frozen or packaged Asian ingredient that you would want. I found it to be a little more expensive than Tjin Toko for comparable items, but the selection of Asian goods is 10x better. The rows here are ridiculously narrow, which made the shopping experience a bit uncomfortable. In the future, I will probably go to Tjin Toko first and than come here for anything else I need.
