O’ Sole MIO

This is probably the best Italian food that I’ve had in years, and maybe forever. I kind of stumbled into this place with my friend on a Friday mid-​evening as we were really looking for beer and food wash it down. Noticing one of those many trademark brewer signs outside, we popped in for a drink a look at the menu.
The atmosphere in here is pretty chill. Everybody working is speaking Italian as are a number of the patrons. They’ve got a pretty basic beer list and a few wines as well. We ordered a few pints of Heineken, a margherita pizza and a past al forno. The price value is really good for the larger portions that they provide to you.
The al forno pasta is amazing and extremely hot from the fist bite to the last. The sauce is thick and the cheese blends with a slight caramelization/​fondue nature atop the dish is perfection. My friend kept it simple but very flavorful with the Margherita pizza. It was very good and the portion size was great especially for the price.
Great base ingredients, great dishes. What more can you ask for?

Wir sind Samstag Abend ca. 19:15 Ihr im Restaurant angekommen und haben gleich Platz für 10 Personen gefunden. Es gibt nur eine Pizza Größe und die ist recht groß. Auch die anderen Gerichte wie Spagetti und Fisch und Fleisch waren gut und groß.
Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Sie sprachen auch deutsch.
Es gibt Sitzplätze im Freien und ausreichend im Inneren.

The singing waiter set the mood and the food satisfied the taste buds. If you’re hungry then this is the place, the portions were huge American style. I ordered the Calzone (folded pizza) which was very large and shaped like a bloated football.. but it tasted great. Even the Tuna salad was a big portion, tasty with lots of fresh vegetables in it.. We had to take the leftover pizza home doggy-​bag styling. We would go back.

Honest food for a great price. Had the garlic bread, the quatro formaggi pasta, two glasses of wine, tiramisu, and a coffee for € 28. Everything was good. Don’t expect amazing, but I enjoyed it. I’d definitely go back
