Only delivery food. I really wish the plentiful Indian restaurants in Amsterdam had a more diverse menu. As it stands, it’s like they all got their menus printed at the same place and even got their recipes from one chef. The only difference seems to be that while some add salt instead of species, others substitute oil for spices. Mirch Masala has an inviting name, but my food had neither of mirch nor masala. Can’t complain, though — I have heard non-Indians like Indian food minus the trademark spices. Restaurant owners gotta eat, too. Quality was decent. I ordered a portion of samosa, palak paneer, and the balti paneer dish. The latter had a weird(to me) flavor and almost didn’t smell vegetarian. The palak was decent. Samosas were crunchy. All in all nothing to like and nothing to dislike — it was delivery food but not a pizza. They are friendly on the phone and the orders do seem to get delivered in a jiffy. You can pay online through their website when you don’t have cash at home. Would I try it again? Probably, when I am too lazy to cook myself. Wish they had something that I couldn’t easily cook at home, something that would make their food special.
