This falafel is really not to be called falafel and the salad bar is far from hygienic . In amsterdam there are much better places to go for falafel. This place is really just for midnight cravings. If you need greasy food this is your place

Awesome falafel in pita +fries. You’ll get plenty of falafels and they’re super tasty. Lots of different vegetables to choose from as well. Quick and amazing.

Wanting something healthy for lunch after days of snacking on bad foods and booze, we decided to eat at Maoz and even convinced our friend who wanted McDonalds to eat here as well! Such a yummy decision! Maoz sells falafal and is good at making it! I ordered a small brown pita, which came with I think about 4 falafal balls and unlimited salad bar toppings. Obviously I packed it full with all sorts of healthy things and then dumped loads of garlic sauce on top– just to make it a bit less healthy. Sophie K and I split some fries, which happened to come with a tonne of mayo on top, but never mind that. The large falafal comes with about 6 balls in it and they even have salad boxes for those of you who don’t want a pita. Such a great concept and a great healthy option while out and about in the city. This place was jammed packed but we were able to get a seat and eat there. What’s great about that is that as you’re eating, if you see you need more sauce, you can just walk up and add more. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do that, but I noticed a lot of people adding more as they ate. All in all, it was a great idea to eat here and I think we were going to go another time, but decided upon something different.

Lovely selection of veggies; freshly made falafels right in front of your eyes; and a really sweet owner! The seating is limited.

Excellent falafel with plenty of fresh toppings that you can go up to again and again and again… It’s funny, I used to live in Washington, D.C. and there’s an awesome falafel shop in Adams Morgan called«Amsterdam Falafel» that makes easily the best ones in town. Who knew the city of Amsterdam was so well known for Middle Easter cuisine? That reputation lives up to the hype at Moaz, which offers fresh falafel with more toppings than you could ever possibly put on. Fortunately you can go up as many times as you want. It’s tasty and cheap — you can’t ask for anything more. Notes: Service is iffy, and seating is extremely limited.

The dankest falafel for 5 – 6 euros. One of the best places to eat in this busy commercial area.

Really good food and enjoyed the unlimited salad bar that came with the falafel. Although, I kept getting a stare from one of the employees for going back continuously to fill up my pita with the salad. Seems like«unlimited» may not really be unlimited.

I love this place for a quick bite of deep fried«junky» goodness. Is it deep-fried, yes. Is it bad for you, probably. Is it bad compared to other crap in the area, heck no! These vegetarian balls of chickpea flour doughy goodness filled with vegetables and then deep-fried, are delicious! Seriously! And Maoz is always busy so lots of traffic for them means fresh food for us! You don’t have to wonder if anything has been sitting out for too long. The salad bar is unlimited if you buy a pita sandwich. This is also the reason why people keep lingering about in Maoz. They take a bite, refill, and take a bit again, and refill again etc. What I don’t like is that if you buy just a few balls without the pita, the salad bar is not unlimited anymore. WTF?! it’s just one ball less and about the same price?! Just let me load that shit up with more of the goodness in the salad bar if I want to and stop being so anal about it! So I just order the sandwich and use the bread as a plate while I keep loading on toppings. Hah! I found a loophole: P Another mention; They have 2 green sauces. One of them is very spicy. I LOVETHATSAUCE! It’s amazing and I cannot get enough of it. You HAVE to try it but be warned. None of my friends can handle that sauce(there’s a dirty pun in here somewhere.)

This is comfort food for vegans! My favorites are the falafel sandwiches and Belgian fries! There are a variety of sauces to choose from to enhance the flavors and take your food to the next level.

Ok. I LOVE Maoz first of all. I’ve had it in London two nights in a row and I’m definitely not sick of it yet! HOWEVER as much as I love the franchise, the service here is absolutely sickening. The people at the front are rude, and after I picked up a sign that the woman before me knocked over, the guy working at the salad bar at the gumption to say, «Did you knock that over? Stop making more work for us.» Also, the guy at the till said to my friend«don’t eat too much you already look fat» and told her«your credit card doesn’t work» before it even had time to process. Then, when we told them that they were being extremely rude, the guy at the till said«we think we’re very polite, it’s people like you that ruin our day.» Sooo if you want to be rudely treated and have an absolutely TERRIBLEEXPERIENCE. Then come here. Otherwise, there are plenty of other wonderful Maoz all over the city!

That was stellar. I think they put crack in their hummus; pretty damn good. Falafel was fresh, the coriander sauce(spicy) was amazing. I went in thinking«this tiny place??» and walked out a happy man.

Go to Maoz now! The food is out of this world, a must-have every time my husband and I visit Amsterdam! Fresh, nutritious, colorful, a lot of variety, customizable, and oh-so delicious! The sauces are rich, tasty, and make whatever you get 1 million times better! Please enjoy at this amazing vegetarian eatery!

Unexpectedly awesome falafel from this cute little fastfood alternative to shitholes like McDonalds. Lots of options and high quality food! Heaven for a vegetarian trying to convince her meat-loving partner about the wonders of a more ethical approach to food… Take a break from shopping and enjoy!

Falafel sandwiches cannot get any better. Everything is really fresh and hygienic. On top of that, you cannot beat the price. The normal sandwich comes with unlimited salad toppings, which means you could potentially combine all the day’s meals into one at that price. And the salad bar is huge — I especially love the carrots and the couscous. There are a variety of sauces of different spiciness to go along with your sandwich as well.

Good olé’ Maoz! Reliably decent vegetarian fare in many European cities. I could OD on the curry sauce and I would die happy.

Falafel is ok and the salad buffet is fresh. What I really like are the fries — just make sure that they fry it long enough so that they golden and crispy. During rush hours they sometimes take the fries out a bit early.

Absolutely delicious falafel. I can see where the place in Somerville got their inspiration as it’s a very similar set up where you order your falafel and then you can add any number of toppings and sauces. My friend and I bought one and I went simple while he packed his with everything he could reasonably fit on it. The restaurant was small and crowded but the value and food was amazing. We wished we had more time to return again before leaving!

The best Falafel i ever ate anywhere in my life. Everytime I visited Amsterdam, I ate Falafel at Maoz. It has got awesome choice of toppings, super hot chilly sauce, exteremely tasty coriander sauce. I just wish they would open a branch in Germany too! Whoever generally likes Falafel, will fall in luv with this place! A must visit for the taste, toppings & price!

Mmmm-mmm! Some of the best falafels on the planet here! We love stopping at any of the Maoz locations and piling on the condiments(which includes all kinds of fresh and pickled veggies) and the sauces. After walking around on all the ‘grachts and«straats, Maoz hits the spot perfectly.
