Great service, free wifi, and delicious breakfast! Perfect for an American Traveler like myself. Nice atmosphere too!

This is a fantastic little breakfast joint located adjacent to the flower vendors in the heart of Amsterdam. Something about this place just feels right, from the positioning of the tables/​chairs to the service and the food. The food here was absolutely fantastic, I ordered a traditional dutch pancake with ham, cheese and pineapple… I know, it sounds REALLY weird but it tasted absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Situé au cœur du marché au fleur, cet endroit propose de très bons produits.
Testé au petit-​déjeuner, nous n’avons pas été déçues. Pancake au bacon et fromage, café et jus d’orange. Bön, le café n’est toujours pas bon mais ça semble être le cas un peu partout.
Le pancake (géant) était délicieux et sur les recommandations de notre serveuse, nous l’avons testé avec le sirop de sucre de betterave. Si ça paraissait étrange au début, c’était une réussite.
Le jus d’orange était délicieux.
Le tout pour un prix raisonnable. Le seul bémol mais qui est aussi sa qualité reste sa situation: il y a plein de touristes…

A Little lunch bistro off the Bloemenmarkt that specialises in eggs. Too bad tehy don’t serve organic eggs. The omelets we got were very tasty and skilfully done. The interior was shabby chic’ish and not much room, but nice enough. Good prices.

Ich war hier am Montag, den 28. Juli 2014 während ein heftiger Regen herunterging. Ansonsten war ich hier nur beim Zigarrenshop Berkman nebenan.
Ich nahm ein English Breakfast und einen Tee.
Der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell.
Aber: Meine Jacke, die über dem Stuhl hing, war anschließend unten total verdreckt, Wasser, Staub, Essensreste.
Das Frühstück war okay, aber es fehlten die für ein englisches Frühstück typischen Würstchen, Pilze und Blutwurst. Außerdem waren die Toastscheiben mehr als hart.
Fazit: Ganz okay, aber mehr nicht.

Un bon spot pour une pause déjeuner après une balade au marché aux fleurs.
Les plats sont variés et copieux. On y trouve des sandwichs, omelettes, oeufs brouillés, et de délicieux pannenkoeks. Les prix sont très abordables. Le service est agréable envers les touristes, et rapide. Le lieu est charmant — je conseille la mezzanine!

4.5 stars! Gartine got 5. A day earlier had noticed some pancake places along the flower market section of Singel. Next morning, our 27 yo baby, desperately wants pancakes. One can’t say ‘no’ to this one, especially when mom’s around, so off we go. We see three possible candidates and our baby decides on this simple and casual looking place. Well the kid struck gold! What a gem of a place, great tasting food accompanied by easy, comfortable service — nice!
Definitely the best coffee I had in Amsterdam. So the baby orders pancakes with bananas, chocolate and rum on top (go figure), I got the ham pancake but I made the mistake of expressing my love for it and lost most of it to the other members of my family, the order was completed by by two English breakfasts which included 2 eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and toast and jam (I got even by eating copious amounts of it). The fresh juices taste so flavorful outside the States and this place was no exception. You kinda feel blessed when you luck out like that. Thanks to the wonderful ladies serving us!

Amazing breakfast and friendly service with the smile. Granted I’m from the US but I had the freshest orange juice ever. Good price for all there dishes and there pancakes are a must.

Man oh man! if you are in the area in the morning — you MUST try their bacon and cheese pancakes!!! I loved this place. Very delicious, good service, good coffee — perfect start for a busy day!

I have eaten here everytime I have been in Amsterdam (about twice a year) for the last five years.
Late breakfast is best. I usually get the scrambled eggs with ham and cheese (yum), an order of poffertjes met Grand marnier (Dutch pancakes covered with sugar, butter, and a shot of Grand Marnier), and a French coffee (coffee with Grand Marnier). Definately an adults only breakfast, but a special treat!

Little café/​coffee shop smack bang opposite the flower market. The location is perfect for people watching. We visited several times during a short break for breakfast or just a coffee.
Décor is a little dark — but it adds to the cosy atmosphere. I loved the huge chandelier.
Free internet access upstairs.
Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English (like everyone we encountered in Amsterdam actually). Highly recommended.
