I was craving a bubble tea like whoa while in Amsterdam, but there seem to be only two places that serve anything remotely resembling it, and Bloemie’s is one of them. The«bubble tea» is not actually bubble tea, as it doesn’t contain any tea at all, but unlike another establishment claiming to sell bubble tea, the waitress specified this and asked if I wanted one anyway.(I did. I love the tapioca!) They had MANY favors from which one could choose, but I went with one of my usuals, taro, and got a «bubble milkshake» of sorts. It was absolutely amazing! I still missed bubble tea, but the drink I got was so good, and the full disclosure of the café gives this place five stars! The waitress said that they will have bubble tea soon, so perhaps on my next trip to Amsterdam I’ll stop by/if you go, they’ll have the actual tea. My fiancé had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich, which was mediocre — your standard European ham and cheese sandwich. Nothing to write home about, but not bad either.
