The service I experienced at this restaurant was quite simply the worst service I have ever received in my life. After eating a delicious ricotta gnudi, our plates were promptly cleared away by a busboy, yet our waitress never returned to our table. We had planned to order dessert, but the 45(yes, 45) minutes we sat waiting for her to grace us with her presence took away that desire. To pay, we actually had to ask the hostess to retrieve our bill! This was not a singular occurrence– we witnessed three tables receive no service during this time. Usually, I would give the waitress the benefit of the doubt; however, we could see her frolicking around the restaurant and actively not bothering to do her job. Evidently, flirting with the mildly attractive front desk staff was more important than serving customers. I highly recommend never ever ever going to this restaurant.

Terrible service here. The food was average. I had a broccoli soup(just ok) and a roasted vegetable and mozzarella sandwich which was good. Unfortunately for a hotel restaurant you are stuck with this as the only choice within. The hostess is not welcoming and the servers are just inattentive.

Great ambiance, great location, good food but unfortunately mediocre service. Once you enter Hoxton hotel you immediately see that this is the place to be for food and drinks in the center of Amsterdam. Lots of young urban people crowd the bar. Also the presence of various nationalities and the warm interiour are appealing. At hoxtons restaurant Lotti’s you notice that they are not yet at the same level of service as in the bar. Service is slow, waiters tend to forget orders, dishes are not served at the same time and the personnel does not seem to have knowledge of the wine menu. Apart from that were various tables not stable which is very annoying and distracting. Last but not least: prices are high for the quality of the food. My advise to Lotti’s: step it up!

Stupid place. Tiny tiny table for three people. Complained, manager apologised endlessly but couldn’t fix it. Our plates were hanging off the table. Pork belly was salty as hell. Lamb was good, but not sure it’s worth it. We did get a round of drinks free after complaining, which is why it’s not a one star. Manager was cute.

Great place to hang out and taste the international ambiance. You’ll see a lot of internationals and start-up oriented business people here. Overall the quality of the food is good: starters were great(would recommend the burrata), mains are decent although a bit pricey. The desserts are fantastic, had the best chocolate caramel brownie here in my life. The sides however were very dissappointing and oddly mispriced for the quantity and quality, nevertheless not bad enough to spoil an evening fuelled by great cocktails and fantastic wines! Will be back again.

5 stars for the location, drinks and the service, 3 stars for the food. I got rained in here during an unexpected afternoon storm and decided to post up and do my work while having a pasta, wine and tea. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The space itself is well located(on the canal) and well-designed — managing to feel both bright and warm and cozy. It feels like a hip hotel lobby(which it is — the Hoxton Hotel) and part of the restaurant has a large glass window roof, which makes it a bit brighter. I had the orecchiette bolognese, which was a bit bland but salt and pepper helped. I sat here for a couple hours and really enjoyed the atmosphere — will definitely return.

Wow… what a nice restaurant in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is not known for having the best food. I have had many bad, or rather, bland, experiences… This place is not one of them and does not disappoint. The ambiance is great; subway tiles, big, open and airy space. Just lovely and right on a canal. The menu has many options and, happily, lots of vegetarian choices. My colleague got the pasta with read sauce and it looked amazing, she was really happy with it. I had the grilled vegetables. Everything was cooked great and tasted fabulous… again, somewhat of a rarity for Amsterdam. The service was really nice as well. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Note… I would make a reservation in advance if you can! Good wine and cocktail selection too. Will absolutely come back the next time I am in town! Great for a date night or a night out with friends!

While I’ve tried a bit of the food and it was tasty, I’ll just say that cocktails are reason enough to come to Lotti’s! Order off the creative menu or ask the bartender to make you something special if they are not too busy. If Max is there, ask for a Lotti’s 255, a pretty mix of pear, peach and cranberry that is refreshing but not too sweet. Or go for a BerrySpicy255, a savory drink with 3 berries, chili and coriander! I love elderflower, cucumber and gin so I went for the long drink with those ingredients expecting it to taste like most other G&Ts around town. But the concoction at Lotti’s is slightly different with a frothy top and strong cucumber flavor. Love it! The food here is tasty too and I look forward to sampling more. The caesar salad is a light but filling choice. Come check out Lotti’s — it’s definitely the new hotspot for the cool kids. Read more and more pics:

Service is wonderful. The food it’s good but a bit bland and flavorless. They play it very safe when it comes to flavors and spices. The pasta was good but also safe enough to feed to a child without complaints. The zucchini tastes mostly of the oil it was deep fried in, we asked for a side of pasta sauce for sipping and it came out bland again, mush like warm tomato sauce which didn’t add a whole lot to the greasy zucchini. Chicken and mashed potatoes, again. Safely bland. As for the interior… Safe here as well. It’s a bit hip– retro– industrial– vintage feeling but again safe and a bit bland. Feels a bit like a glorified cafeteria /lounge in a nice hipster hospital.

Great looking place, horrible service — be prepared to wait 15 minutes for a coffee or tea. Can’t speak for the food as i only had a few drinks. Decaf is 0.50 extra(?) –as well as soy milk, which devalues the brand experience of this place imho.

Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Nice cozy variety of seats and tables, and they rearrange them for dinner to make the space a bit more accommodating. Breakfast set-up is perfect, comfortable and serene. Overall nice and welcoming. However, a bit loud during dinner, and they turn up the music to ear-breaking level at 10PM, which was a bit odd for us as we(along with everyone else) were sat having dinner, dessert or coffee and clearly struggling to have a conversation. Service: 4.5÷5 Great by Amsterdam standards. Relatively friendly, fairly quick, fairly attentive. They definitely treat you better if you’re well-dressed and look like you know what you’re doing. But show me a designer hotel that doesn’t ;-) Food: 5⁄5 Breakfast was delicious, great quality, fresh, exactly what I ordered. My favourite thing was that I was able to order a whole plate of fresh avocado alongside my scrambled eggs. The coffee is nice as well. Menu is simple and small but has something for everyone. Dinner was hit or miss. I love the simplicity and buildability of their menu(you can order lots of yummy sides with your meals) but I found some of the dishes a bit too minimalist. For example, my caesar salad had no dressing. It was quite a struggle to eat. Overall recommendation: go here for breakfast!

I can’t get over this place! So much to say and yet all I want to say is «yum!» «cool!» «awesome!» But I’ll try to be a bit more descriptive… but really, you can stop reading here and just go. Ok then, here’s the nitty gritty. It is inside the Hotel Hoxton with a black awning. When we went there was a doorman dressed in black. Just mention you are going to the restaurant and he will point you in that direction. We were then greeted by the hostess and directed to our seats. There’s a lobby-type area with comfy seats and the bar nearby, another area is under a huge skylight which is where we sat and loved it(you could see into the kitchen), and then an area just past that in a mood-lit area where I would recommend for a date. Though the whole area is great for a date. That area just, um, sets the mood. The food is based on Italian dishes, but some Dutch thrown in there. So if you are Dutch, no worries, you can get your bitterballen ;) –SPOILERALERT– Everything was delicious, so I won’t bother saying that after everything. This menu was for two people… just so you don’t get the idea I ate EVERYTHING listed! Served with bread and oil Cheese croquettes-nice, hot, cheesy goodness Rib Eye-perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful and served with Bearnaise sauce Veal-tender, flavorful, crispy coating with beautiful presentation Fries-very good, but not Flemish-style Chocolate Mousse-creamy, chocolatey, not overly sweet and served with crushed pistachios Tiramisu-not traditional, but tasty. Seemed more like a pudding than traditional tiramisu. House cocktails: An Engroni cocktail and cocktail with vodka and cucumber. Both smooth and refreshing. Longer wine list than you would expect for a place like this. Menu is long enough for you to find something for you, but not too long that it takes you forever to just read through it. Décor is simple and classy without being overly fancy. The staff is professional, courteous, polite, friendly. A highlight in Amsterdam. Prices are very reasonable for the level of service and quality of food. Perfect for: drinks with friends, business meal, date night, evening with visiting parents.
