This was a nice afternoon break that we took with my friend after a difficult bike riding experience under the rain:)) It was my first time trying Kirsche Beer and I loved it! I mean it’s not like the kind of beer that I would usually drink, however, I liked its taste; maybe not as a beer but a cold drink with a sweet-sour taste with ice and it’s refreshing! The setting, relaxing chairs in the garden and the mill are definitely inviting:) Must definitely try this place if you wanna chill for a good afternoon. I think they also have wifi, gotta ask. I don’t have any idea about their food because I haven’t tried any but will definitely try the next time:)

Friendly staff, good beer, and the best burger I’ve had in Amsterdam to date. Great place for food before or after a visit to the brewery next door.

Great spot for drinks! They have a huge terrace by the water and a windmill. A better, less busy option to the next door brewery. Plus, if you’re not a beer fan, they also have wine! While I’d prefer this spot for outdoor drinking or dining, the indoor bar has nice views too. The meals looked great, although I didn’t get to try. I will definitely be back to test them out.

Just gotta give this place 5 starts on principle. I studied abroad in Amsterdam and lived right down the street from Langendijk, so I’ve eaten there for probably every meal. I’ve been there as soon as they opened and until they closed at nighttime. The food is great and the beer from the Brouwerij next door is awesome. But you go there for the really friendly staff and stay for the nice cozy atmosphere. It’s how I spent hours and hours there and never got sick of the place. It also helped that the staff didn’t get sick me and my friends. I miss this place so much. Great when the brewery is too packed and great to bring friends/family who don’t mind a relaxed place outside of the center of the city.

If you have like, 3 hours for a meal, you’re not hungry at all when you arrive, and you’re not in the mood for any really great food, this is your spot. The food was absolutely forgettable. Everything was under seasoned and needed salt and/or hot sauce. And obviously their only hot sauce is Tabasco. How mediocre. I got the pasta special, which was supposed to be tagliatelle with salmon in a goat cheese sauce. There was some small scant pieces of salmon, but there was no tagliatelle or goat cheese! Weird, right? It tasted like a normal light cows milk cream sauce and there was a shaved hard cheese on top. The overcooked pasta was some other type whose name I don’t remember, which was fine, but just tell me, ok? I really like tagliatelle!!! My date got the omelette and he only enjoyed it sort of not really after he doused it with Tabasco. Also, where are the potatoes?! None. A crappy salad instead. Oh well. The meh food wasn’t terrible. The biggest reason for the 1 star review is the service. Not only was it impossible to get anyone’s attention, once you got it, it wasn’t very pleasant. I shouldn’t have to track you down to ask for a beer, hot sauce, pay the bill, etc. I shouldn’t have waited 20 minutes after you seated me to see you again. And when you show up again, you should have brought menus, since you failed to initially. Also, don’t be annoyed that I haven’t picked a drink yet, when you never brought me a menu with a drink list in it in the first place. Rude rude and more rude. I couldn’t believe it. I know the Dutch are known for bad service but I am still baffled at how bad it has been both times I’ve been to Amsterdam, and at various places. Overpriced crap with crap service, thanks. Also, why are the bathrooms ice cold?! That’s weird. The rest of the place is a hotbox.

It’s close to where I live, but that’s the only good thing I can say about it. The service is spotty, and the hamburger is one of those monstrosities with a giant beef patty and a wimpy bun that falls apart when you pick it up, spilling hamburger toppings all over your plate. And they don’t bother to give you extra napkins. Bad form!

I stopped here for a quick lunch on a Saturday around 13:00, and really liked the place. The service was just ehh(waitresses seemed a little annoyed to have to serve the customers, unfortunately), but the food was good and the place seems to have a good selection of beers and other drinks. More than anything, the place felt really cozy and comfortable, with either indoor tables featuring cushioney benches, or outdoor bean bags and benches with cushions on which to plop. The location is a bit outside Amsterdam central, but right next to Brouwerij ‘t IJ, which looks like a fun brewery stop. Maybe next time I’ll have time to visit both. :)

Cool bar with a local vibe to it. Friendly staff, good burgers, decent beer selection. This is the real experience!

As strange as it sounds, the best fajitas I’ve ever had were consumed at this place in Amsterdam. We ordered them on a lark, after a week of trying various local favorites and were blown away. The serving is meant for two, so bring a friend. Langendijk is located pretty far away from the main action of Amsterdam, which is actually pretty nice. It faces the water, so you can watch people steer boats poorly while enjoying a meal. In short: Order the fajitas. Sit outside if you can.
