My husband and I stumbled onto this restaurant after an uneventful walk through Albert Cuypstraat. I was a bit leery at first since it has a Vietnamese sounding name for a Chinese restaurant, but inside there were two other Chinese people eating lunch, which is a good sign when you’re Asian. The hostess doubled as waitress sat us right away and ordered our drinks. My husband ordered noodles and I ordered kippen, chicken with vegetables. Although I imagined more vegetables, my meal came only with bok choy and chicken, which was still good. My husband said he liked his meal, finished it, as he usually does with chow mein, though it was over salted. To the Americans who read this, we typically expect a heavy type of oyster sauce in our Asian meals, but the Europeans seem to like their Asian food with a lighter and sweeter oyster sauce, which I’m ok with. I noticed this again when we had Thai food in Copenhagen. Just noting the contrast. Also, their bathroom is sparkling clean.
