The food was okay but nothing to write home about. I’m Indonesian and wanted to take my boyfriend there to experience some of the dishes I love from back home. We had«rendang» which is beef with coconut oil. The taste was okay but too sweet in my opinion. We both didn’t really like it. We also had another dish called«Ayam pedas» which is spicy chicken and we preferred this one. It was really spicy. Overall we weren’t unsatisfied with the meal but we wouldn’t come here again.

Both the food and service here are perfectly fine. I had an enjoyable meal. It was nothing super special, though. I don’t get much Indonesian good in the US, but always enjoy it, particularly when in Australia where it’s very popular. So I’m not expert, but have had it many times, and enjoyed it. I chose the chicken curry, and got it with rice and vegetables. The chicken was ridiculously tender and just peeled off the bone. The flavor was good but nothing spectacular. The veggies were quite enjoyable, tasting of pure coconut. Rice was fine. Service was only okay. I paid about 18 euro for the food and a water.

This restaurant is located in China Town on the edge of the Red Light District. It’s the kind of place that you know about from word of mouth, you found it while wandering through the area or you deliberately went out in search of after reading someone’s review. It’s a small restaurant with about eight tables maybe more. From what I could tell there were maybe two or three staff. It was very casual like eating at your aunts or grandmas house and being served by them. The menu has two sides with one being in english. They take reservations. It might be a good idea to make reservations if you’ve a party of four or more and you don’t like to wait. As it’s a small restaurant I think they cook just enough food to serve until they run out. After they run out its no longer available til the next day. So, if you’ve a particular dish in mind you may want to go earlier in the day to insure they still have enough of that dish to serve you. Once we ordered after going through what wasn’t available due to being sold out it didn’t take long for our food to arrive. It was tasty and not overly spicy like I was expecting. Not being overly familiar with Indonesian food I still enjoyed what I’d ordered. My friends, one being indonesian, also enjoyed their meals. I’d say our food was authentic if not close to authentic. Price wise it was ok. Medium I’d say. The service was ok too. I’ll go back to try other dishes. I’ll go earlier so I can try the dishes they were out of.

Nettes, kleines Restaurant. Zu empfehlen ist die Nasi-Platte für 13EUR mit ca. 5 verschiedenen Beilagen zum Reis. Man bekommt quasi etwas von allen anderen Gerichten.
