This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. To me bad service barely factors into the equation. As long as the food is really good, you can be a dick all you want. This place failed on all levels. Well I guess the ambiance was good, I can give it that. And the wasabi is in the shape of a dollop of butter, which is cool I guess. I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat and figured this place would work. When I sat down, the waiter gave me a menu and then hovered over me. I said I’m sorry I just don’t know what I want yet, could you give me a minute? «Actually I can’t, we are going to be closing soon so if you want some food, you better order it now. I quickly ordered their special tuna roll. I completely understand when you want to leave and get your customers out the door as soon as possible, but he was more rude than he needed to be. After I ordered I saw him walk by and I asked if I could get a glass of water. He looked at me like I was crazy and said«you mean you aren’t even going to order a beer?» I was taken back and laughed and said«hell why not» I was expecting an affable response but he just rolled his eyes and walked away. He came back, slapped the beer on the table and didn’t say anything. He was a complete dick. My food came and I ate a couple pieces and something didn’t taste right. I looked down at the roll and the«tuna» is canned tuna fish. I shit you not. I was dumbfounded. It was one of the worst excuses for a sushi roll I’ve ever seen. Small, bad proportions, bad rice, with canned tuna fish inside.

This place is ok. It’s part of the all you can eat sushi wave– which I think is kind of lame to be the norm. Genki is next door and is better, but more expensive. I would give this spot four stars. But paying 7euro for a small bottle of water is super gangster of them and won’t win any fans. Stick to the booze.
