Euphemia Budget Hotel

Nothing about the place is a hotel. It is a hostel all the way. Now I am not adverse to staying in a hostel, I do it often. But I do like it to be clean. This place was not. The sheets were a little suspect, some of my group used their own sleeping bags. It is near a tram stop and is easy to get to. But I will not stay here again

This isn’t really a hotel per se. It’s not centrally located, but it’s near a tram and it’s really not that hard to get to Central Amsterdam.
The hotel itself is a hostel. Let’s be clear on that, there’s a washroom and a seperate shower room for each floor. I stayed in five bedroom (I slept on a bunk) and the neighborhood was really quiet. This is a great place if you are looking for peace and quiet.
Unfortunately it’s not 24 hour reception, and so they leave at 11pm and come back at 8am I believe. The beds were 3 stars themselves. They also had lockers that are provided, but you have give them a deposit, but the lockers are large enough to fit big travel packs.
The doors are heavy and when left on their own do tend to slam. Overall I was very happy with my stay. A word of advice I got about Amsterdam, book in advance for the weekend.
Tourists from all over love to travel in for a quick trip to the coffee shops.
